I'm also not in to having gray as a primary color in the jersey. Much better as silver and as used on the Chevy jerseys and the current primary ones: every 3rd that is all gray flat-out sucks.

I'd be down for a refresh of the uniforms as they exit this post-Cup era malaise and start injecting fresh, young talent. They did it to welcome the Gretzky era, they did it to exit that era/head to Staples and then to move away from a garbage era as they built towards the future.

While the crown is much better than the home plate, I feel they would want to retain something from the cup era so we are talking the colors or the logo. This is all a moot point though since Luc is Mr. Monochromatic.

Carter and Kovy are unmovable IMO unless the Kings sweeten the pot. But I would rather give Kovy his unconditional release than try to trade him since he has a full NMC. Carter can be waived and assigned to Ontario if unclaimed. If he refuses an AHL assignment and retires, the Kings save on his salary but will still take cap hits on his recapture till 2022.
Toffoli is TRASH and needs to be emptied at the nearest dumpster.

Grundstrom has to get a legit shot at that ice time.
Talk about recency bias.

Anyone going to the State of the Franchise dealio tonight? I hope several are and to get copious notes! Ask some good questions...like "can you deliver Quinton Byfield to us?"
"if Carter is waived and reports to Ontario, will this be bad for the youth there?" but end with "thank you all, for a stellar 2019 draft, well done!" (give some deserved credit)
seriously, first 4 picks were awesome - Turcotte, Bjornfot, Kaliyev, Fagemo....and Parik, Spence, Nousianen all great picks too.

I like that Bjornfot and Fagemo are signed and their Swedish teams can't sign them now! That's HUGE. (whether or not both play one more year there) This will prove to be great for the Kings.

I don't know where to post this but HOLY SHIT FROLOV IS BACK IN LA!

Seems like Kopitar has been training with Finnish team Tappara. They held a training camp in Slovenia and Kopitar's camp asked if he could join their morning skates to get some time on ice before LA camps start.

Oh, cool, now he's free to muck around with other teams but when I ask him to fill in for Gary the goalie on our beer league team all he says is "my contract won't allow it" and "how did you get this number?"

Agreed. Monochrome sucks. The 2 colors of the past: gold and / or purple; are both 'royalty colors' and not bad colors, when compared to the Sharts teal, Oilers orange, or the Avalance maroon! There must be a way to incorporate 1 or both into a more cool and cutting edge jersey. Black, silver and purple work together. That one jersey with LOS ANGELES at the bottom was not horrible and had those colors, but could be reworked into some kind of scheme.
