Who are you referring to?? Maybe they are working out not sure just haven’t seen or read anything . The players I listed is from me seeing them on IG everyday posting and grinding away . Kovy and Kempe are very encouraging to see because they have been going HAM ! Especially Kempe . It’s exciting .

I have a feeling that Toffoli has a great first half of the year and depending on the teams position ends up traded for a 1st+. His shooting percentage was nearly half his career average last season, but he was still getting to prime areas to shoot. I'm not the biggest fan of xGF, but the discrepancy between his xGF and GF is f***ing huge. You don't need to be workout king to score goals, Kessel is proof positive.

I truly believe if Toffoli had speed he would be a perennial 40+ goal scorer . He has an amazing shot just is terribly slow . I remember he once said he wished he had Carters speed . Unfortunate because of his accuracy and skill with his shot .

I don't know if I'd describe Toffoli's shot as amazing. I guess you could consider his shot accurate if the goal is to put the puck into a goalie's chest.

Its cuz he has a knuckle shot, it reacts like a knuckle ball. When your hands are made out of granite, it can do crazy things to a shot

If you want to see a player dedicated to maintaining his career and producing consistently at a high level look at PK Subban's social media.

Funny enough he still gets a ton of criticism for 'not caring' and being a diva, etc.

But his workout stuff gets me pumped up, just watching his focus and determination is inspiring.

Minus injuries and whatnot, that kind of self-care keeps a guy going till their late 30s.

Re: Toffoli, you won't find anyone say he had a 'good' season, but my god, what a case of everything that can go wrong will go wrong. I hope he comes back with some confidence, because even with his crap play, he had some REALLY crap luck.

There was a recent Spittin' Chicklets with Nathan MacKinnon, good listen, but even they talk about how easy it was to lose confidence as a goal scorer in the NHL, and Whitney does a good job pointing out that if nathan f***ing mackinnon is worried about when his next goal will come, how does everyone else fare? It's mental, not just physical. Toffoli needs both this year.

As far as??? Talked a good one the season before last and was 2nd in the Norris race(should have won really), and 7th the season before??

i'm specifically talking about his statements in general (not necessarily anything Norris related)

but from what i recall his last few statements included

and i'm paraphrasing here

"no way is Vegas better than us" - Vegas finishes 1st lol
"we have them where we want them" in reference to a 0-3 deficit in the playoffs, lose game 4
"we will beat Calgary" - loses to Calgary
"Burns is overrated" weeks later Burns goes on a tear with San Jose
etc

there were others as well


i love the guy, i'm not picking an argument, it's just time for him to WALK (again) rather than TALK
he's been talking a lot lately
