The best way to think of Vilardi is to not.. .
Just a hypothetical because I don’t think Columbus is looking to move him, but Werenski is an RFA and Columbus already has 7-8 defenseman signed not counting him...what do you guys think it’d cost to land him in a deal?
worked out great at end of the day ...wouldn't trade Doughty for Stamkos

That summer of 2006 sure was awesome, following up the successful signing of Brian Willie with this monumental move.
I’m hearing that the older Kempe is coming to LA.
I have no idea honestly. The source is a member of a music/humor group (like a Swedish version of The Lonely Island) and he is a good friend of the Kempe brothers. Why? Where does he fit on the roster? Maybe Ontario?
If Gardiner doesn’t sign soon and we can get him at a discounted rate and term even for a year would anyone be interested? Plays the left side, can move the puck and would eat some minutes.
We have Drew that is one of the best defensive Dman in the world to help cover Gardiners gaffes and he could help our PP a bit.
Could always eat some salary and trade him to a contender at the deadline.
No matter what he would look better beside Drew than Forbort and I already feel sorry for our goalies this year.
What makes you think we wouln't just lose 5-0?I’d rather lose 5-4 than 1-0, so sure
Got an update about it so yeah seems likely.I’m hearing that the older Kempe is coming to LA.

Not sure if this has ever really been discussed, but I was just looking on Capfriendly and realized Kovalchuk had 13.15 million of his 18.75 million paid in signing bonuses over the first two seasons. Assuming his signing bonus was paid on July 1st, as is customary, he is only owed $5.6 million TOTAL over the next two seasons in real cash. His trade value is definitely higher (not saying high, but relatively higher) now that his signing bonuses have all been paid. Also makes 'retaining salary' easier for AEG to swallow because they are retaining more cap hit than actual dollars.
