I'm thinking Forbort could be in play since he is cheap and they have to move Z off of their blue line. Dumping Marleau frees up cap space for them and they still have a good prospect pool.
I don't think we can dump a salary on them as that is not their play: we are the team that is tanking next season and can eat some salary in the meantime for a long term gain.
I have zero issue adding Marleau if the Kings can get a good prospect. Management doesn't give a **** about next season and is really all about hopefully having prospects/young guys being key contributors for 2020-21.
Don't want to beat a dead horse, but AEG doesn't offer a two year price freeze on season seats if they think next year is going to be good. Could they surprise? Sure. The plan is to hopefully see improvement from young guys on the roster and a buy-in to TM's system. JAD, Kupari etc...are going to all play together in Ontario and build chemistry together.
Wonder if Jeremy Bracco is a fit for the Kings.
The LA recycle bin regurgitates another coach.
What's up with Sturm? Lowry already got the axe right?
Have thought that the front office was like an Elks Lodge, but maybe the Lions Club is more appropriate.
I'd easily take Marleau and then deal him at the deadline. Just make it worthwhile and I'd hope the Kings would take Zaitzev too.
Marleau and Kovalchuk both if they can find them both a good home.I'd easily take Marleau and then deal him at the deadline. Just make it worthwhile and I'd hope the Kings would take Zaitzev too.

agree. or they can try to dump Dion's contract. Although doubtful that they would take back his contract even with retention. How anyone could complain about a potential move like this is beyond me. This is exactly what the Kings should be doing with next year's available cap space. Would be interesting to see what Toronto would give us for taking him.
I wouldnt either but just how keen are they on getting rid of him? Might pay quite a few assets to ditch that deal.I personally do not want Zaitsev and the 5-years he has left @ $4.5 million. I've seen enough of him and I don't think he is anything more than a bottom pairing guy.
I thought he played fairly well his first year in Toronto but has regressed since.
