Interesting bit of info.

That's not exactly what he said. BizNasty was talking about UFA contract stuff and his time being a UFA in the AHL with Biz wanting to play a 2nd season with the Reign and Blake came to him with an offer. Biz said he wanted more and Blake said no, so Biz accepted the deal. Duchene then came back to Biz saying that it would be hard to turn down Blake in Biz's position. Nothing was brought up about the Kings or Blake from his UFA point of view.

All that post was clickbait.

Thanks for the clarification. It appears some fans suffer from selective hearing.

No idea if it will happen but it would certainly be the bold aggressive move that would define the direction of the franchise going forward. Blake is on record that they need to solidify the 2C position and getting Duchene would certainly do that. A nice present for the new coach as well...

I think MD would be a great player for LA, he'd give us a legit 2nd line and PP producer. It would take the pressure off any young Center to do this at the NHL level for the next several years and allow whatever/whoever we have to mature to that level if they do. This wouldn't FIX the Kings but it is exactly the kind of acquisition we need for the team. I see a livelihood for smart re-tool going on here in LA not a full speed TANK, they still have to get fans to Staples. MD would be a pretty solid addition for all of the above.

Add Duchene and a UFA defenseman (or trade for one) along with a new coach and renewed commitment from the core guys and this could be a 90 point team. Kings can keep all their draft picks and continue to get younger but also be competitive and actually show the fans that they want to win.

Most the media is like this too. Whether it's news, politics, sports whatever.

Question but how would people view a Puljujarvi for Vilardi swap? Both are lottery tickets at his point IMO and I imagine both fan bases would not be in favour. However Puljujarvi wants out of Edmonton so there is pressure on Holland to move him, and LA needs players who CAN play.

I think I would rather keep Vilardi but I can see a scenario where his contract runs out without him playing a game. LA does not offer him a contract, he signs and eventually plays eslewhere.

I'd rather just hold onto Vilardi until the bitter end and hope he recovers. When he actually plays the skill is undeniable. I can't say the same about Puljujarvi.

That thought crossed my mind too. Some of the players above are trade bait and I think competition is a good thing. Having a competitive AHL squad next year or two is not the worst thing either.

I’m thinking that some of these could be a key piece to a trade up at the draft of our 22 OA into the teens or higher to get a shot at a Boldy or Caufeild or a Krebs. We clearly have too many and quantity isn’t going to win games. I sure as hell will not even attend a single game with Tyler Toffoli taking up any ice time. Some of that just can’t be on the roster at the beginning of next year.

Bold statement (assuming you attend on a semi-regular basis). I want Toffoli to start in LA and hopefully he can increase his value by the deadline. Right now it is low. That said I would not be disappointing if he was moved either, depending on return.

As I stated above need to make the trades to delete some before u can add anything . I dunno who can start in the ahl off the roster I doubt Prohorkins would I think its either make the team or he can go to Europe. I think we need to get rid of at least one forward and one defenseman and one goalie Althou i am pretty sure Petersen can go back without waivers.
