Rangers should just suck for a few years, not be in the playoffs and think young from here on now.

Make some good drafts the next few years and come back strong. Just like Pens did.

Gentlemen lets just put it this way, if the penguins decided to not play with a goalie in the third period while they are up 3-1 and the game transpires the way it did, with only 2 shots in the third period we still loose the game 4-3.....

By the way, has anyone filed a missing persons report with the NYPD yet for Rick Nash, Brad Richards and Marty St. Louis? I heard their families are very worried because they were supposed to be at MSG last night but no one really saw them.

So now we can add "crybabies" along with losers and heartless in the list of adjectives to describe this group.

I can't believe my eyes with some of these quotes. AV saying they are playing their hearts out? Richards happy to be getting away from NY and go on the road?

It's downright disturbing, there is no accountability whatsoever with this group. Nash and Stepan are smiling on the ice and bench like they are thinking about their next golf outing, and they could care less with what's going on.

Between AV saying this team is playing their hearts out, and Nash saying last year's playoff for him was good, the group we have right now will never be a serious contender to do anything more than make the playoffs as a 5-8 seed and maybe advance a round or two if Hank plays lights out.

I just don't understand how our PP and offense can be just as atrocious as it was last season with Torts' defense style? I was one of the people happy to see torts go because I thought we might score more, and that our PP would improve. And even though our offense wasn't lights out at least our PP was decent in the regular season.

It's just unfathomable.

You know what else is unfathomable? How Dolan is gonna happy OK another multimillion dollar buyout this summer and then turn around and let Sather not only keep his job but overspend on Stasny to fill the hole.

Rinse. Repeat. See you next year.

This entire post is spot on. It's absolutely pathetic.

And give me a break on it being unfair to boo players because it will hurt their confidence.

I want the type of players that get pissed off when they get booed. That use the fire inside of them to fight harder. Not a bunch of cupcakes who can't handle the truth (that they've been bad) and can't handle adversity.

Agreed. What a bunch of babies. Nash has been horrible and deserves to be booed. And I cannot belive how St. Louis has COMPLETELY disappeared in the playoffs. I didn't think that would happen. At all.

This team has been outclassed at home in an embarrassing way. That 4th goal last night was so awful. The first goal was awful. And the 2nd goal was awful. You can't let that stuff happen and it keeps happening.

Here here! Well said. It's all part of the pacification of the New York Rangers where no one hits and no shows now also get a free pass.

You mean, the San Jose Sharks. :) They're basically the Rangers of the West. Choking when it comes to playoffs.

You got one thing wrong, bud. Sharks choke when the playoffs come. We Rangers are in a constant battle between choking to death and playing for our lives, the entire season and the playoffs.

Look at it this way. We may get to keep our 1st. Maybe we can trade that and Nash, to go a little higher. Though I doubt any team would want Rick Nash on their roster ...

I hate you so much Rick Nash. Not only do you completely suck in the offensive zone, you also suck so hard that you play minus on the PP. Congratulations for turning the game around wrong way you looser.

Stralman, Carcillo, Stepan and MSL, you were beyond worthless in this game. Stepan a true 1C LOL, post season ghost is what you are. Rather keep Brassard than him.

MSL looks like he have never held a stick before, Boyles stickhandling looks like ****ing Gretzky compared to him.

And the PP, we've played more than a full time game on the PP without scoring...

Nice having Kreider back. Didn't look awful. Hagelin&Zucc, thanks for scoring.

**** you Nash

They'd have to sweeten the deal. Maybe throw in Hags or Miller along with Nash and our 1st.

MSL was a lot worse than Nash in that game, yet all I keep reading is **** you Nash. This board is so agenda driven.

If calling out star players that suck for sucking then yea I agree, that's the agenda.

The play of both Nash and St. Louis has been inexcusable. Nash's clown show on the PP at the end of the 2nd was a back breaker and St. Louis' aloofness in front of the net was the nail in the coffin. These guys are supposed to be stars. Supposed to be the guys that put the team over the top, but they can't can't out of their own way.

In terms of being a big game player, it sure looks like St. Louis is a has been and Nash is a never was

Oh no, I hate MSL performance almost as much. But Nash gave up that SH goal which make him more hateable right now. MSL was worse overall in the game though!

And sadly this isn't surprising at all, considering that some players on this team felt Torts was a big meanie. Instead of using criticism as a motivator to play better, they get offended and refuse to hold themselves accountable.

It's quite apparent a lot of these players aren't suited to play in NY - when players consistently underperform, the fans will let them hear it, that's how it is here. AV's comments were embarrassing: " it might not like look it but we're trying our guts off." Rangers fans know what an honest effort looks like and it wasn't present last night.

Richards should consider himself fortunate that he wasn't booed last season when he was playing horrendously. Instead, he is taking a dig at the fans and intimating about how he can't wait to play on the road, and this is not the first time has expressed this sentiment. Boy, was I wrong about his character.

The booing does not help and reflects poorly on the fans - the team needs support more than ever. It is a typical reaction though as most people in the building have never played hockey before large crowds - they would not know.

Having said that - the last two games at MSG have been really, really bad. It is now the players need the fans more than ever. Flame away but I will never, ever support booing.

Meh, I read what he said differently.

He basically said that the entire put its foot in its mouth (ie... sucked) and he felt bad that those two guys were getting singled out by the fans when it's on the team.

Kinda what a leader should say.

All I know is that IF we make game 6, I don't want to hear a single ****ing person booing this team. They've battled all season to be where they are. If we have a healthy McD, maybe we make this a series, but either way this team is not on the level of the Pens, Bruins, Hawks, etc. And that's not the fault of any individual player, that's on Sather.

For those of you whom wish to heap praise on ****tsburgh for their dominance, I have question. Do you think it was a coin flip that 95% of pens fans didn't want to play the flyers? Well, it wasn't! They know full well the type of collapse their team is capable of. The Flyers would have wiped the ice with them. Their best chance for success? I give you The New York Rangers!
It will be interesting to see the people that are singing the pens praise right now, back here after the next round when they're out in four.

Yeah, last week. He still missing.

To make matters worse, the evidence of how to beat these losers is right there, and we didn't adjust! This is a situation where the coaching staff deserves some blame. I mean, we just watched in their previous series how teams have to play them!

I'm pretty positive you won't have to worry. Given the battle level in the last 3 games, the Rangers will be lucky not to get blown out on Friday.

The carelessness that this team displayed with the puck last night made me ashamed to be a fan.

In a game that was as must win as any I can remember and just as must win as game 5, to give the puck away as often as they did with arrogant behind the back passes and BS attempts at tic-tac-toe dipsy doodle crap is beyond understanding for me.

We are NOT that talented that we can or should be trying that.

Last night showed me, not sure about you, that a significant overhaul needs to happen to some very important positions.

Aside from the obvious guys like Nash, Richards and I am starting to feel like MSL is in that group as well.

Stepan has to go.

I can see the justification to letting Stralman walk.

I would scour the league to gauge interest in Staal. More because moving a significant asset like Staal would get back a key asset. He's not THE problem, but if we are looking to make significant changes, then sometimes important assets have to be shipped out.

I would consider moving Hags as well.

The Rangers have no on ice leadership. NONE. They have no player capable of carrying AV's message on the ice. They have no presense.

Individually, some of them have talent. Most of them have less talent that the FO believes they have.

They are not a fast team.

They are quite predictable as Pitt seems to have taken away everything they do well.

The forward group as a whole is soft. They have a few guys that try, but are completely negated due to their smaller size. Pitt's physicality has negated any attempt by our smaller forwards.

The defence is slow. SO SLOW. Even McD is looking less than ordinary.

And to top it all off. I don't think that Pitt is firing on all cylinders. I have seen them play alot better. In fact the last 2 games against Columbus were better efforts from Pitt than any thing they put forth in 4 games this series.

I could understand your post if I believed for one ****ing second that this team full of mentally weak sad-sacks didn't hand the series to the Penguins on a silver platter. The Penguins may be better on paper, but the current state of this New York team is depressing.

Whine all you want about players carrying injuries, but you're not making any noise when we put 15 shots on a suspect goal-tending French nerd in a game on home ice.

Time to go put that shift with the Brassard line throwing check after check on repeat. That one shift is pretty much the one example of play off hockey they've played this series.

No intensity, no passion, forever mediocre. The New York Rangers.
