Literally why I came here. This board has been nothing but 31 other teams fanbases having a massive celebration every time Bro gets a point.lol And at least half aren't happy for Bro, they are happy the Oilers look stupid.lol

Anyways, my reason to come was to point out that Broberg has a long history injury. He never seems to be able to get a full season in.
I have maintained from the start, based on what he had done up to the offer sheet, I didn't want him for 4.5 million.

He got hurt at his last World Juniors and is averaging around 55 games in a season since then (at AHL or NHL level combined).

I don't wish him injury. I'm also on record as very happy for him and was cheering for him so the injury sucks. But when I saw he was injured, I didn't even flinch. I hope it's short and full recovery. But that is 4 years in row where he can't get a full season in and has a setback.

I also noted someone say McDavid is injured too. Very true! McD is 28 years old and Bro is 23 and has had more injure is in his career than McDavid has in his career. Bro has played 93 NHL games in his career averaging around 13 mintues a night. McD has played 665 games and averaged over 21 minutes a night.

Speedy recovery Bro.

I will miss visiting this thread after every Bro game.lol

I stick to the mains and the Oilers have a lot of 'fans' that actually know more about our team than OIler fans.lol If I'm being honest, I enjoy the perspective of some of the biggest Oiler hatrs on the mains... different perspective and sometimes they nail it. Good news is, the injury wasn’t a chronic type of injury or a recurring one.

Bad news is, the injury did not look good and has the potential to need surgery.

I guess we’ll know more in the coming days.

I'm really curious... I looked at the replay several times and his knee definitely didn't go in the right direction BUT it didn't look like an outright snap either (eg. your own Adam Jiricek had one at the World Jr's and that looked nasty and was obvious right away. He just returned last night (good for Blue's fans and Czech people.lol)

Hope he's back soon! It's been a tremendous story to follow to be honest.
