No idea how he'll age but if you want to win now, it had to be made. Top of the rotation pitchers are tough to acquire or replace. He doesn't, and never did, have the traditional high velo, high spin, 4 seam fastball like Verlander that you would feel great about aging, but he's been pretty much the best command pitcher in the league and if that holds, he should age just fine.
That Harper, Turner, Nola, and Wheeler contract/extension bubble will be nasty though. Can only kick that can so far down the road.
