Lee looks solid (great setup) but KBO to MLB is a huge jump. Not sure he fits in a corner though so you would be probably be punting on Rojas.
Assuming Lee has interest in Philadelphia, I'm willing to gamble on his bat allowing him to stick in a corner. The OF options in UFA are thin and their prospects in the high minors don't seem like MLB regulars.

Oh I would def take him. I’ve had my eye on him since the Covid KBO days. He has a gorgeous swing even if it is very unconventional and may need to be tweaked at this level. They need his type (theoretically anyway) but he takes a hit in value playing a corner and I don’t think he’ll come cheap - Boras guy. KBO power numbers are inflated and he only did it once. I would expect low power numbers next year. You just don’t see velocity in that league so it’s a true projection. HS Kim was a 30 HR guy in the KBO and he’s got below average pop in the bigs. Heck of a player everywhere else though. Took him a while to get adjusted.

Yeah, Seidman and Ricky Bo have been Team Nola lately. Nothing wrong with that.

In his article he also listed trade options -Cease, Glasnow (meh injuries), Burnes (hell yes!), Bieber (meh) and Luis Castillo, because Mariners might need to get his totally backloaded contract off the books (4x 22.75).

Please, give me Burnes or Castillo. Then resign Burnes for whatever he is worth. No way he extends for Brewers.

Yamamoto or/and Shohei would be great, but thats not going to happen, i am afraid.

There’s also Shōta Imanaga. Burnes and Bieber kinda scare me. I worry that the trade cost would be paying for a peak 2-3 seasons ago

Imanaga was good as opener in WBC finals (allowed only Turner HR), but i think all those japanese studs are going to end in LA, NY or Boston.
Would be awesome to land one of them, no doubt.
friendly advice for everyone... don't just google him by his first name of shota.

I agree with everyone. Would say it's cooler / just as cool but it depends on which game, which player in the HR derby etc.

More, game dependent though on a sliding scale.

Anything I should ask? Lelands.com

I’ve been buying from Lelands for 20+ years, so I can get anyone specific on the phone if it helps.

And while I have you here, how bullshit is a description like this?

and this game worn jersey is an "apparent" match to

To clarify, per the included Letter of Opinion from Sports Investors Authentication, "the clarity of the photos and video from this game do not allow us to say with absolute certainty that this jersey is photo-matched. However, all evidence supports and suggests this being an apparent match..." to this jersey as referenced.

When I get a couple free minutes I’ll take a deeper look into it.

From my experience (I won’t stake my name on them yet though) Resolution has done some decent things with matching and I know their matching comes with a nice price boost.

I am 100% in on getting Trout, but I would prefer Soto. Whatever the price is for Trout is likely too high given his age and injury history. I would not break the bank for him but I am absolutely interested in making him a Phillie. Soto on the other hand, I would break the bank for. Has there been any chatter with regard to what these teams are looking for?

I would assume the discussions start with Abel and Painter. Would be fine giving up Abel and something of lesser intrigue for Trout like a Bergolla or something like that. For Soto I would just pony up whatever. We all know baseball prospects are far and away the hardest to project and aside from pre-injury Painter, none of these guys are locks to be anything, let alone anything good.

I doubt considering contract status (and injury for trout) either of those guys are moved for that much

Hopefully. Problem is there isn't a NEED to jettison either one. Both teams can stand pat if they don't get the right offers. Soto being so young, even with the contract expiring, he's going to command a lot even if it isn't until the deadline. Trout is a harder sell. If he's healthy he is still a top player but he hasn't played more than 150 games since 2016 and he's on the downside of things. Hopefully he pulls some strings and says he only wants to come home to Philly and we can just get him for pennies on the dollar. Unlikely but would love to see it. Get that stupid money out!

Trade the farm for Soto
Trade whatever for Trout
