The team will never win a World Series with Nick as a full time starter. He is so easy to pitch to and is an absolutely terrible fielder. Plus he might be the most infuriating player Ive ever watched on the Phillies. Going to be a long 3 more seasons.
Especially since he due for a shitty season next year

"Sonny Gray" sounds like a character's name in Donnie Brasco.
Gray is the new Black

Yeah this is a bit of a tough blow. But if it was the recommendation from ElAttrache for long term health then you have to do it
I’m not sure long term health was the deciding factor. The surgery either worked or it didn’t. Outfield throwing is still a lot less demanding than say a catcher or the other infield spots.

My guess is Harper liked the challenge of playing in the dirt again and he would have likely had to make the move back to first eventually anyway as he aged.

This move makes Schwarber a full time DH (he’ll probably still get spot duty in LF during the regular season) so they can only really add OF bats for the foreseeable future…unless they move on from Bohm which seems unlikely.

Isn't Jorge Soler pretty much a DH at this point? Teoscar Hernandez seems like a lateral move.

Would be a risk, but definitely would be fine with taking a chance on 2022 Korean MVP Lee Jung Ho.

Just turned 25. Career .340 BA with a .407 OBP. Doesn't have a lot of power although he hit 23 HR's last year (which is career high). Over the last several seasons he's struck out in only about 5% of his Plate Appearances while walking in over 10% of them.

Played CF in Korea and has a gold glove in the past 5 seasons (not including this year although he was hurt and didn't play from August)

if they are gonna go out and get an OFer..i want a speed guy that walks and hits well..a real lead off guy
There's no one like that available in UFA. Maybe Tommy Pham? Or possibly Jung-hoo Lee if he can hit MLB pitching?

I feel like people are assuming he's a Giant.
