I'd rather have tuberculosis than ever having Rojas bat at the major league level, my god, dude looks worse than a make a wish kid getting a chance to bat

Hoffman and Alvarado were the only reliable arms in the bullpen this season. Kerkering could have been good, but obviously as soon as batters caught on to his schtick he had no chance. He needs more than just the slider in his repertoire. The offense was f***ing terrible. Quiet bats for the last 4 or 5 games of the season, just could not make things happen. Everybody onthis roster needs to look themselves in the mirror and find out if they are who they think they are, besides Wheeler.

He hit .302 in 149 AB as a rookie this year. I think there’s a good chance he’ll be a good hitter. Not much power but with his speed he could develop into a good leadoff hitter.

Coaches won't do shit. This lineup was built boom or bust the day they signed schwarber and castallanos. They should be getting more for $50 million
I would be very happy if both of them were gone next year.

The coach sabotaged game 4. Schwarber is a good hitter but just like Nick terrible in the field. Nick happens to be terrible at the plate.

Let's not put Schwarber and Castellanos in the same sentence. Schwarber at least showed up and even when he's not hitting, he puts up resectable ABs.
Fair enough, but the all power nothing else off-season with hoskins already on the team was highly questionable imo

Totally agree regarding game 4, I meant more on the hitting side, regarding someone's comment about the lineup

To me after 1964 this is the worst. That was long before me though. That being written, I dont feel nearly as much pain inside after what happened in Super Bowl 39. I legit couldnt eat correctly for 3 months until Liverpool beat AC Milan.
Super Bowl 39 was infuriating. Patriots were so sloppy and making uncharacteristic mistakes in that first half. Yet, the Eagles continued to let them off the hook and not take advantage. Somehow the game was tied at half. You knew NE wasn't going to play that bad again. They would be better. And they were.

I felt sick when he was coming up to the plate bases loaded in a 2-1 low scoring game. I had the same feeling when Suarez was left in to face Carroll
He came up and I looked at my wife and said here comes an easy out, the he swung at a pitch around his chin and my wife asked if every at bat is this painful when he's up, to which I said in the playoffs it is

Not sure why Schwarber is getting the same amount as criticism as other hitters. He was their best hitter in the NLCS. In the low scoring games he drew a few walks, had respectable plate appearances, and hit a couple doubles in clutch spots

Been a great playoffs for a Mets fan. Watch the Braves dominate the NL and then get eliminated. Watch the Phillies choke in the NLCS and get eliminated at home in game 7.

Now get to watch the Rangers and hope to see Scherzer get lit-up in a start with a bad thumb and go "haha, at least we traded him away"

Nick and Rojas were complete black holes this series. I don’t even want to look at the numbers and OBP. Rojas’ defense is nice, but coming off a 3 game stretch where you scored 1 run in 2 of them, offense should be a strong factor. Not really Rojas’ fault he was put into that situation. One of the big what ifs will be that bases loaded situation. Personally I would have tried to score runs there as it was a low scoring game and the Phillies offense was struggling in 3 out of 4 games at that point.

I don’t want to even fully blame Nick either. It was a team effort choke job on offense. Only hitter I felt reasonably comfortable coming to the plate was Schwarber, which says a lot

Sports really aren’t stupid. What’s stupid is taking sports seriously (unless it’s actually your job).
For real. Watch the end of most games. Players don't really give a shit. They start hugging each other and laughing no matter how close a game was, or how badly they got blown out.

Get eliminated from the playoffs and they'll be out enjoying their lives. Flip it on to distract you from stuff for awhile and once its over, just let it go. The players on the field certainly do.
