OT: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): When You're Up, It's Never As Good As It Seems, And When You're Down, You Never Think You'll Be Up Again

I genuinely didn't even know he played yesterday until I saw the stat sheet

Golden Tate was “forgotten” about until he wasn’t against the Bears.

Then he was forgotten again until he tried to fight Jalen Ramsey years later.

To be fair, I think Tate was easier to remember for me because we needed the WR help whereas we're overloaded with pass rush rn

Good boy, Howie (even though he took an L on the trade, but a SB heals all wounds)

I'll do you one more. I didn't even realize he was off injured reserve and played at all in either playoff game lol.

Love the Philadelphia area Cowboy fan in there too.

How 'bout them cowboys!

I dislike Stephen A Smith, but he was ragging on them last week, drinking tea from a cup that said cowboy fans tears....epic.

I hate them more than I like anything. If I had 10bil, I'd buy them, and bury them for the rest of my life...rome salt the earth Carthage style.

As long as Jerry Jones is still alive he's doing that for all of us bro.

Yeah, I'd bank on most of Bradberry, Cox, Hargreaves, Quinn, Dillard, Edwards, White, Suh, Linval, and Sanders to be gone.

But it could also be Kelce, Graham, Suemalo, Minshew, Pascal of course.

Only guys (off-hand) I think we retain are Boston Scott, Epps, and Gardner-Johnson. The rest is all up in the air to me. We've gotta keep *someone* though, right?
I think there is money to pay some guys an extra 20m to the cap helps.

I can't see letting Hargraves or Kelce go because of reasonable $$ for their positions. They are the priority of the UFAs.

IMO CJGJ and Bradberry are in the next tier of financial priority.

Scott and Pascal are in the cheap cost probably returning tier.

Can't be sentimental, BG has to be in the cost effective tier. Cox as well, but cheaper. Edwards and white too if the $$ is right.

Dillard and Seo probably get more $$ elsewhere, and we have Jurgens to be G if Kelce is still C, and Stoutland, keep him happy.

Everyone else is gonzo.

We need an "OOOF" emoji

With all these contracts running out and lots of 1-year deals I was somehow convinced that Reddick was on a 1-year deal as well.

Very pleased to 'find out' that he's actually under contract for 2 more years.

Reddick has become my favorite player on this team. f***ing love that guy. So disruptive on almost every play he is out there, whether or not he gets a sack. I love that he's always got his hands out trying to take the ball away, too. Looking for him to have another big game in the SB.

I'd like to just go up to every single person I saw in Philly wearing a Dallas Cowboys jacket in the 90s when I was in HS/college and point at the Cowboys now and laugh.

But I bet most of them just jumped on the Patriots bandwagon and are now trying to decide which team is going to be the next dynasty.

I’m 31 so from my perspective the kids i usually know that are Cowboys fans they were alive during the Cowboys last power house run but they were babies essentially.

For most of them it’s a passed down thing from their dad & the excuse will be that their dad became a fan because they were on tv more back then.

But in reality when you’re talking Cowboys fans from the New York & Philadelphia areas there’s not only a need to be different but there’s also a need to try & get under the skin of Eagles/Giants fans.

It makes it funnier that the Eagles & Giants have been far more successful in the last 20 years than the Cowboys though. The Cowboys have been better than the Commanders at least over that span, so that got that going for them.

Uhhh is Houston doing smart things? Ryans make sense. Slowik would be a fantastic hire if it finalizes. Lance for the rumored asking price of a 3 is a fantastic post-hype buy on a legit talent who’s still younger than a QB who looks like a top 5 pick in this draft.

We have to assume Bradberrry is lost to FA? We've talked about how key good DBs are with what Gannon asks of his defense, and it's no surprise them making the most noise in a while corresponds to them having their best group of DBs in a while.

Imo, CB is key, not just a hole like the last few years. The blueprint is there and it proves how important it is

Probably, but I’m with you here. That’s going to hurt. A lot.

@JojoTheWhale I feel like Edwards should also be high on the re-sign priority list right? Was he actually good this year, or did he just make a lot of tackles

Yep, very good. I really don’t know if they’re willing to pay a Linebacker. That’s not a thing they’ve typically done. The one recent time they did, it didn’t go well either.

All of Bradberry, Hargrave, CGJ, and Edwards are major losses.

If Lance is available for a 3rd, wonder if Howie would be interested?
Reclamation project, insurance for a running QB and flip him for a 1st.
B/c Minshew is history.

I don't think Edwards will break the bank, White however, I'd let walk.
Edwards and Dean would give us two LBs with off the chart IQ.

If the Niners are trading Lance that would make me think they will be pursuing Brady. I doubt Purdy plays next season.

Definitely has to be more to it. That roster is too loaded to put all their eggs in Purdy's basket (even if he wasn't injured). Dude played what, like 8 games? Maybe he can be all that, but sample size is way too small. John Lynch is smarter than that.

I was a Niners fan growing up and I remember those heydays where the NFC Championship game was the real Superbowl. Lots of Cowboys fans all over the place. The bolded is funny, though. It makes sense with my one Uncle. South Jersey guy, but he always was kind of a prankster. He definitely enjoyed the shit talking.

TlDr, if a young Cowboy fan ever comes at you, tell em, "Go get your f***ing Starter Jacket!" and see if they get it
