OT: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): When You're Up, It's Never As Good As It Seems, And When You're Down, You Never Think You'll Be Up Again

Probably, but I’m with you here. That’s going to hurt. A lot.

Yep, very good. I really don’t know if they’re willing to pay a Linebacker. That’s not a thing they’ve typically done. The one recent time they did, it didn’t go well either.

All of Bradberry, Hargrave, CGJ, and Edwards are major losses.
On the other hand maybe knowing they finally got a good LB they'll scramble to keep him. He's gotten much better each season- he could still get better. There hasn't been stagnation yet.

Money will be coming off the books elsewhere but it's going to be a wild offseason. At least the cap shoots up

Choice between keeping Graham or Sanders.

Who u got?

Graham. But I go with neither

BG easily. Miles will need to get paid more than they'll want to pay a RB, and Kenny G is showing well. BG loves it here, is a Philly legend, and would (allegedly) be more open to the hometown discount. Also coming off his highest sack total, albeit with more limited usage. I don't think this is a case of just holding on for nostalgia ( Hi JP!) as long as he is pretty cheap

Definitely has to be more to it. That roster is too loaded to put all their eggs in Purdy's basket (even if he wasn't injured). Dude played what, like 8 games? Maybe he can be all that, but sample size is way too small. John Lynch is smarter than that.
Didn't they do the same exact thing with Jimmy G lol

I’m 31 so from my perspective the kids i usually know that are Cowboys fans they were alive during the Cowboys last power house run but they were babies essentially.

For most of them it’s a passed down thing from their dad & the excuse will be that their dad became a fan because they were on tv more back then.

But in reality when you’re talking Cowboys fans from the New York & Philadelphia areas there’s not only a need to be different but there’s also a need to try & get under the skin of Eagles/Giants fans.

It makes it funnier that the Eagles & Giants have been far more successful in the last 20 years than the Cowboys though. The Cowboys have been better than the Commanders at least over that span, so that got that going for them.
If you were old enough for the 90s Cowboys, they were insufferable. I can understand how they became America's Team with Staubauch who was awesome... but 90s cowboys fan was the WORST, right up there with Laker fan.

Graham isn't going anywhere, no one is giving him real money at his age, his best bet is to come back in the Long role, 20-25 snaps off the bench.

If you really wanted to suffer, be an Eagles fan in Texas during the 90s - from the warm glow of Buddy Ryan to the agony of the Cowboy's heyday. Fortunately, Austin was Longhorn country more than Cowboy country. Dallas was detested on principle.

If you are sf wouldn't u
sign Brady
let Purdy heal and learn from the best?
I think Brady should retire but SF does make some sense for him to give it one last shot. He's from there and grew up a Niners fan, the team is good enough that he just needs to run the offense, he would probably have a decent shot with them. And they with him.

Uhhh is Houston doing smart things? Ryans make sense. Slowik would be a fantastic hire if it finalizes. Lance for the rumored asking price of a 3 is a fantastic post-hype buy on a legit talent who’s still younger than a QB who looks like a top 5 pick in this draft.

Demeco is who I wanted for Carolina.

If lance is available for a 3rd, I have to ask why Carolina isn’t going down that path.

If the Niners are trading Lance that would make me think they will be pursuing Brady. I doubt Purdy plays next season.
I mean unless you have either just completely soured on him, or you MUST have his 9m cap hit off the books, I don't see this trade making any sense. The return will be nothing.

And they should be pursuing Brady anyway, he's a near perfect fit for the situation, provided they can work together (ie he will do what Flatbrim wants)

If I lost 500m from ftx I would hang around an extra year too.
Brady should retire but that ftx debacle was brutal.

Not sure how it fit in the cap as they also need to extend Bosa I believe this offseason. What a total waste though if they trade him 2 years after giving up so much for him. They could have just stayed at where they were and drafted Parsons or Slater. Glad they didnt.

I liked this at first, because the reasoning and logic is sound. Then I came to my senses and took it back, for unsound reasons. I grew up on Montana and Rice. These were my HEROS. Please don't let me see Tommy boy in that uniform. It hurts my head just thinking about it. Your post makes sense....but I can't support it

The mutual hate between Philly and the Bosas is the beef I never knew I needed.

Especially with how salty the Bosas are behaving, LMAO.

Absolutely.

You know, I actually was gonna be on Joey Bosa's side about the whole thing, but the fact that he defaulted *immediately* to gay slurs when Philly fans heckled him...nope nope nope.

He's too weak minded to stay out of trouble here

They're both crappy people. If they had a personal draft of Philadelphia 'athletes' their #1 pick would probably be either Provorov or DiAngelo.
