OT: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): When You're Up, It's Never As Good As It Seems, And When You're Down, You Never Think You'll Be Up Again

I think we are all looking at this game wrong. This game will come down to Jalen, not Patrick. This is pretty similar to Super Bowl 52. The Eagles had by far the better roster, just not at quarterback. They survived a Brady supernova cause of Foles being great as well. The coaching situation then was similar to the one now. Going up against an all time great coach but the Eagles can hold their own now. We will see about KC's injuries at wide receiver but I think if Jalen has a good game, this will be a blowout. Now Im not sure that happens, as he wasnt good yesterday.

Shrug, I'd say just don't turn it over. IMO run it heavy. Keep our D fresh and 15 off the field. I just don't think they can keep up with it.

If we get in a SB52 esque shootout, or need hurts to throw for 300, we have the wrong gameplan.

Heart-breaking. He's just a kid & a whole city is furious at him for a simple sideline push.

Good teammates

That's great. I was one of the first to say it was a dumb thing to do, but I'll also be the first to line up in his defense. I know that sounds oxymoronic, but I get it. Anyone who's played sports knows that sometimes you just do shit. It's the heat of the biggest moment of his life and he acted on instinct/reflex. That's just how it goes sometimes.

I can call it stupid but I can also understand the situation and forgive him. Brutal that there are hordes of people who can't/won't

The refs decide all games, whether they make calls or not. What always bothers me across all sports are end game calls like this one, vs the non calls end game like LeBron in Boston the other night. There's no way to solve it outside of artificial referees.

Wait...a backup QB who started 4 games? lol. Just end the Pro Bowl. There's an 'all-pro team' list. That's all you need.

Reminds me of the Eagles' Mike Boryla being named to the Pro Bowl team for the 1975 season. There is an article about the game in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that starts with, "Mike Boryla of the Philadelphia Eagles, a quarterback who wasn't supposed to be within 1,000 miles of the Pro Bowl..."

He had twice as many interceptions (12) as TD Passes (6) during the regular season and only started five games.

He ended up being the game's runner-up for MVP to Marcus Hooks' own Billy "White Shoes" Johnson.

Boryla Passes Nip AFC

Love the Philadelphia area Cowboy fan in there too.

It's not a subjective call. This isn't Holding. This isn't PI.

Unless you're trying to argue that it's reasonable that Mahomes was trying to stay in bounds, there is no grey area. There is no room for interpretation. It can even be a stupid rule you want changed and I won't argue, but it is the rule.
where was the flag on the late hit out of bounds against cincy? again subjective.

It really just tears you up inside doesn't it.
I'd like to just go up to every single person I saw in Philly wearing a Dallas Cowboys jacket in the 90s when I was in HS/college and point at the Cowboys now and laugh.

But I bet most of them just jumped on the Patriots bandwagon and are now trying to decide which team is going to be the next dynasty.
