44-19-1 regular season record, 3 trips to the NFCCG, 1 trip to the Super Bowl in 4 years coaching the Niners.

I would argue that he already has proved that his coaching translates to the pros.

He did very well at SF but it should be noted that the Niners roster was also much more complete than the current Chargers. He's proven he can succeed with a great roster but he's got some work to do at SD.

Someone please just tell me this was a camera angle thing or something?

Just now saw this was posted before me.

Barry is also interviewing w/ Chicago to be their DC. So we'll see there.

I know nothing about these two other than fans of their respective former teams weren't unhappy to see them go. Could be a situation where they're better in one specific area as opposed to overseeing an entire Defense.

Our head coach is a glorified cheerleader.
A lot of the head coaches now need to be more like project managers. They have their focus area but a lot find out they need competent coaches, not puppets, especially at the coordinator level. A lot have to shove down the ego.

Raheem Morris was the Bucs Coach in 2009-11??

I was reading that people didn't know who he is and I was like "how could they not know him? He was JUST coaching the Bucs!"

Those 12 years flew by! Crazy!

It is CEO of the on field management. I am sure he will have input and make decisions on certain plays.

My issue is his strength was suppose to be motivation and how the team loves playing for him but based on December and January they clearly quit. If he cant motivate, what can he do?

Whatever Howie tells him to do. It's my take away from the presser.

It’s Eskin so take it with a grain of salt but he is so far up that organization’s ass maybe it’s possible…

They’re “close to naming Kellen Moore OC.”

I don’t know what to think.

He’s got Dallas Cowboys stank on him, and the Chargers weren’t really all that good last year. Although it’s hard to know if that was him or the team was just that bad.
At least he runs motion and puts his QBs under center periodically

Are we happy with Kellen Moore?
I don't know where I am on Moore specifically, but I do like the thought process, if you're looking for an experienced OC, to look for people who are on the open market because there's a new boss in their old town, not because they were the fall guy themselves.

I’m tentatively happy with the hires. I think experience was needed after the disaster season with unproven OC and DC. The window is still kinda open so might as well go full throttle forward
