Byard is a two-time All-Pro and former league leader in interceptions. How much of an upgrade is this? I don't watch a lot of the Titans haha
Anyone who's not yet sold:
OK, no, this is even better:
Chip was unequivocally right but Howie’s turning into an alright dude.
Also a massive Dawkins fan. That's the guy he always said he patterned his game after.
Another guy that is beloved by teammates on a different level. They're getting quite the collection of those. But they can all play.
We don't need him. They didn't want to add Henry in the deal too?
What Desai does is take that shell zone but tweak it with some JJ aggressiveness, five man fronts, some blitzes, etc. Not nearly as passive and predictable as last season, which lead to veteran QBs carving them up like a Thanksgiving turkey.
I might be a bit naive here but with the state of their OLine and the Eagles DLine this is the obvious thing to do. But I guess sometimes people don't wanna do the obvious thing. When you pick apart the stats here, the big difference between 2022 and 2023 in the passing game is YAC on Short Passes. The RPO game isn't working. Neither is the Screen game. Note that's all Screens, not specifically RBs. They don't run those.
Now that I've gotten the time to research this, they played more Zone last night and Blitzed less often than any other game this year.
They played basically as close to a perfect game from an assignment standpoint as you can get on one side of the ball. This wasn't aggressiveness. It was a bet on empowering the DL to win the game. Everyone delivered.

Now if only Johnson would learn to do this.It was definitely not a complaint. If anything, it was meant as a positive post with respect to the players.
NFL is different, you have effectively a 60+ man roster, that's a lot of slots to fill.OH HELL YES. THIS IS THE GUY. He's better than Baker with a much better contract situation.
While we're at it, these two shit picks were acquired in a trade down with Tampa and the 6th is Tenneesee's pick they got in a swap for Ugo Amadi. Tell me again the margins don't matter.

Also Gannon didn't careI'm still salty about the SB because I do believe there were some shenanigans in play with how shitty that field was. It completely neutered our pass rush, which was the only way we'd have been able to contain Mahomes, and to see that the groundskeeper was and is a huge KC fan who was given a SB ring.... Yeah, it doesn't sit well with me.
Gannon still sucks at his job, but I am not sure anyone was going to be able to shut down Mahomes with the way things were a bit stacked in their favor that night.
Tell me about him, JojoOH HELL YES. THIS IS THE GUY. He's better than Baker with a much better contract situation.

If we are willing things into existence, Maxx Crosby come on down (I know we don't really need him, but he's a monster, being wasted.)OH HELL YES. THIS IS THE GUY. He's better than Baker with a much better contract situation.
