He was. The Steelers have had 16 head coaches in franchise history, but if Tomlin leaves the day this extension ends, they will have had exactly three HCs between 1969 and 2027: Chuck Noll from 1969-1991, Bill Cowher from 1992-2006, and Mike Tomlin from 2007-2027.

Edit: Before Noll, they had exactly one HC in their history coach more than 48 games (Buddy Parker, 104). Noll, Cowher, and Tomlin have coached a combined 857 to date.

Two truly great coaches and one utter fraud. But the fraud had maybe the best DC ever behind him. That's a hell of a run no one is ever going to match.

Depending on how you count people like Jim Thorpe and Ernie Nevers, there are somewhere around 40 Head Coaches in the PFHoF. There are only 2 frauds and they're both currently in high profile roles on national tv. What a great explanation of the shitshow that is national studio broadcasting.

I don’t usually care about OTAs, but Becton is playing LG today? Don’t see many 6’7” Guards for leverage reasons. Jesus.
Only open spot on the OL is the OG spot that Jurgens is vacating to move to C. Unless Becton is a pure backup for the 2 starters.

Team needs a legit 3rd WR or at least another lottery ticket there. Wonder if Metchie could make sense as the odd man out in Houston

They will probabaly sign someone after cuts. With the motion in the new offense, they will likely split out rbs, who are good recs. The key is any injury Brown or Smith would be impossible to replace.

Because my mind literally thinks about obscure things other people have said and I like making references to them.

Maybe yes to this power hamster

They had a down year last coming off their freshmen seasons specifically Singleton. So I’m not arguing it as of now but you know it’s a really deep class when Singleton & Allen aren’t bonafide top ten.

I still think it’s wild Henderson came back to Ohio State. He would have assuredly been RB1 this past draft. Even if he did get a nice NIL deal.

:)

There used to be a dozen people at PFF whose opinions made me re-examine my own. Now there’s one left and that podcast has gone to shit. It’s nice to know who to blame at least.

@Chinatown88 One of those anonymous people is 100% Renner, right? Probably the one that got bleeped?
