@Chinatown88 And Renner is in the comments agreeing on Ojomo. I really don’t understand how he has zero hype. NFL length. Good, violent hands. NFL strength. Very good athlete. Young. Quick off the line. If he gets out of Day 2, I don’t get it at all.

Is this shades of oh gosh I don't want to look up his name cause I should know it since I was enamored with the lad. Amobi Okoye. That lad intrigued me cause he was so dang young.

I'm aboard the Ojomo train of they don't take IDL early.

Oof....trading up? We need premier players, but unless they're going to use next year's picks, I don't know if I want to do that. Like what would we think that'd cost?

If it's at 6, 7 or 8...I think there's a chance it'll cost us #30

I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I just believe Howie will do it.

Yeah that's a HARD pass for me, unless they're getting a 2nd and a little more back in that case.

Plus, I'm not sure about Carter tbh, at this point.

They need premier rookie talents at both 10 and 30 (god damn NOLA, why'd they have to go and win a few more games this year?)

For a non-QB, there's basically no chance it would cost 30 to get to 6-8 if a team is looking to move down. The only recent I can think of where this happened was the unique Dolphins-Eagles-49ers 3-way where the Dolphins had created extra 1s out of thin air and were willing to overpay because they had already banked a 3rd 1st. That was 12 to 6, which is more of a move than even the high end of the theoretical.

You can ballpark it a 2 or a 3 in rough value. Whether that's this year or next or one of these deals where an equal number of picks go both ways is up to the teams. But the value deficit would be a 2-3 depending on how high they move up and how badly they want to do so.

FWIW I made my guesstimation assuming that team would hold us hostage, but hearing that you think it's closer to a 2 than a 1 is...beautiful.

PFF made their mock draft sim free for Good Friday I think. Literally gonna be doing this for hours tonight.

Please take this as a question of curiosity, not of criticism - what's the point of these mock draft sims, especially since there is practically zero chance anyone will ever really come close to an accurate mock? My guesses are there are three primary reasons (check all that apply):

1. The gaming angle to achieve the validation of a high evaluative grade by the site
2. The immediate and higher likelihood of selecting the same player the Eagles (or other team) would choose with their first pick
3. Other

I've made my opinions known on mock drafts of any kind, but I am open to at least trying to understand the attraction of it all.

Time's yours.

I do them for fun I like to put myself in what would happen scenarios. It fills the void of wanting be a GM. It's why I play fantasy and back when I was into Madden I would always go down the rabbit hole of franchise mode.

Madden franchise mode. Remember the athleticism webs for the draft prospects? I used to sell all my top 90 picks to hoard 4th+ rounders, draft the athletic beasts, sign them for 7 yrs 3 mil total, then watch them turn into animals by year 3

Guess I will stop after attempt #1 today....

PFF is even crazier when it comes to trading up for QBs than real NFL people...

Honestly, yeah. Like he's a bottom tier RB in this scenario, but we'd still win with him. Certainly not worth investing a premium pick at RB. Just pickup someone else's RB.

Fournette, Zeke, Kareem Hunt, Ingram, McKissic...all guys we can trash pick right now that would be fine (plus our already trash-picked Rashaad Penny).
Yeah, Robinson is gonna be an animal though, and Penny is gonna miss a good 9-10 games as per usual with him, so that signing is dog shit lol

looks like John Elway has stepped away from the Broncos officially.

do Bob Clarke and Bill Barber realize you can do that? you don't have to stick around in an official capacity until you die.
I don't actually know that he 'stepped back' so much as the Broncos didn't renew his contract and changed the locks. ;)
