Foerster makes Flyers, same for Zamula, no-one else probably does... so to start the season probably something like:

Wilson-Desnoyers-Brink
Lycksell-Brooks-Marody
Wisdom-Gardner-Tuomaala
XXXXX-Avon-Gaucher

Ginning-Attard
Mete-Grans
Zmolek-Belpedio
Millman-Samson

Petersen
Sandstrom

I guess they will add ~3 fwds on AHL deals before start of the year. And probably add an AHL goalie in case Sandstrom is claimed.
our number 1 goalie petersen in LV, what the hell

My early prediction on the Phantoms 23-24 lineup, Lehigh will be adding more AHL contracts to fill out the roster, Philly may not be done yet either as it’s only mid July.

Foerster and Zamula make the Flyers roster.

Line 1 LW Desnoyers C Gardner RW Brink
Line 2 LW Lycksell C Marody RW Tuomaala
Line 3 LW Wilson* C Brooks RW Wisdom
Line 4 LW Furry* C Avon RW Gaucher*

1st Pair LD Andrae RD Belpedio
2nd Pair LD Ginning RD Attard
3rd Pair LD Mete RD Grans

Goalies:
Starter: Ersson
Backup: Peterson

Captain: Garrett Wilson
Alternate Captain: Louie Belpedio
Alternate Captain: Adam Brooks
*AHL contract

I think Attard, Brink and Desnoyers have a shot in camp, Attard most likely b/c he's at an age where they might want to see if he has a NHL future.
Brink lost a lot of PT due to injury and Desnoyers is only 21.
It's OK to play in the NHL if you are 21. Maybe he's not ready yet, but it should not be because of his age. The Flyers use that age excuse all the time.

It's not an "excuse," younger players generally have less experience and often aren't physically mature.

Yes, they definitely need more experience in the NHL before they can play in the NHL. That's why it's preferred for teams to dress lots of veteran JAGs in their place. Those guys may suck, but at least they're fully physically matured and they have lots of experience at sucking.

And don't forget specially for the Flyers, development consists of the required 2,000 hours of viewing from the press box.

Jackson Cates is a UFA now, right? Any chance he’s signed to an AHL deal with the Phantoms, or is some other team going to give him a chance?
It has become obvious that he won't crack the NHL roster and Lehigh Valley is not exactly a place to make yourself a name. I'd guess he will turn elsewhere in the AHL or even consider Europe.

The only reason he was signed was to facilitate the signing of Noah Cates. Yet another reason you cant let college players get too far into their education.

Andrae is either on the Flyers or back in Sweden, according to reports. It is a shame because I would like to see him marched up with Grans.

I suppose it would be too optimistic to have Poehling with the Phantoms after being pushed out by one of the prospects.

I'm not convinced Foerster makes the Flyers out of camp, unless there are more trades or some top 9 injuries.

Last season Torts played the utterly useless Zack MacEwen in the top 7 forwards for two months at the start of the season. Hathaway is a much better player, so I find it hard to imagine Torts not trying him at 3RW.

Just a reminder that Chuckles the Sad Clown traded our first pick away in 2021 to Buffalo for Risto, instead of picking the top goaltending prospect in the league this year: Jesper Wallstedt, who ended up going 20th.

The NHL’s top 10 goaltending prospects for 2023-24

There were other pretty good prospects available, including Isak Rosen, who Buffalo took at 14, Brennan Othmann, Wyatt Johnston, Olen Zellweger and Logan Stankoven (who they also passed on at 46 to take Tuomaala) Dallas took Johnston and Stankoven and look like geniuses now:

2021 NHL Entry Draft Picks at hockeydb.com

Incredibly stupid trades and bad draft selections have consequences.

Here's the follow-up tweet, which confirmed that the Michkov pick is the determining factor.

They also had:
Bjarnason ranked 38 (we took at 51)
Ciernik ranked 65 (we took at 120)
Sotheran ranked 108 (we took at 135)

So yeah, Michkov was definitely the biggest piece, but they view us as having found good value later in the draft too.

Imagine if they passed on Bonk and took Perrault/Cristobal and didn't waste 2 high picks on goalies
Yep, there were likely multiple BPAs available at these picks, even Gulyayev since Briere et al were likely dead-set on taking a defenseman. And not 1 but 2 goaltenders in the first 3 rounds, even if, as OyVey pointed out, both were ranked lower than where the Flyers got them??!

Snowden seems to have a pretty good pedigree, coming from the Marlies and previously a Kelly Cup winning head coach with the Newfoundland Growlers (ECHL) after stepping in as head coach mid-season. Dare I say that this looks like a decent hire? And maybe, just maybe, a replacement for Laperrière?

Add him to the Flyers ever growing list of great hockey last names.

Plus it does not look like he has any Flyers affiliations (big plus)
