I see a Tertyshny on there - if that is nepotism, I am not going to complain about it this time. RIP.

I hope we sign McLaughlan's brother, actually. May as well take two shots at it. And my guy Theo Rochette is nowhere to be seen. F***.

EDIT: Looks like that is Dmitry's son. F***ing awesome, and I'll tell you this - if he sucks at playing hockey, I'd fire Chris Stewart's homeless ass and give Alex that job for life.

EDIT 2: I'm not joking. There's no reason that he couldn't be our Russian-speaking ... whatever for Michkov when he arrives.

This is the way

So, I just heard Al Morganti talk about this. There may be a NCAA rule here. He doesn’t know if this is the case, but if Cutter is taking any kind of summer courses, he basically has to pay his own way. The Flyers probably paid 50% of his expenses to come to last years camp, and there’s an NCAA rule that they cannot do that again.

It makes no sense not to take summer courses as an athlete either; you stay near the nice facilities and trainers, and reduce the course load you'll be taking during the season. I would rather have him doing that than being ignored by Tortorella while Biceps teaches him worthless nonsense.

Bro you really aiming high with the development and coaches in this franchise. I dont see most of this happening. I believe 100 % in your ability to scout and love your Input. But i think you are too positive when it comes to players in our system. Let them develop in another franchise and iam with you

I list by upside! Not likely outcome!

I don't get all the hand-wringing around Gauthier, maybe it's just the constant retweeting and the "reporters" who don't bother checking the rules, or maybe Briere's lukewarm answer.

Gauthier used up his free visit last year, he's not someone whos a local, and the NCAA is still running a tight ship and expecting student-athletes to do something shady they need to investigate.

Danny boy needs to learn not to over share.

“Cutter was invited,” Briere confirmed. “He declined to come. We’re assuming that because he’s played a lot of hockey with the World Championships and lots of travel.

“We’re not too worried about that. We don’t have (first-round draft pick) Matvei (Mishkov) either. For the fans and even us it would have been fun to see those guys on the ice. For the moment, it gives us a chance to focus a little more on the rest of the group.”
Briere said there’s no “disconnect” between the team and the player.

“No,” Briere said. “We’ll find out a little bit more. We’re trying to figure out why he didn’t want to come. But at this point I’m not too worried about that.”

Flahr mentioned Hunter McDonald as being a guy they are high on and looks ahead of where they thought he would be at dev camp.(Flyers Daily pod)

I wonder if he knows McDonald is going into his D+4?

Big kid that can skate. I’m sure that is appealing in camp settings (remember the Myers hype at those camps?). Fletcher talked him up two weeks ago. Brought to you by the same duo who thought Hayden Hodgson was some unhidden gem.

Also weird he made it to camp for a second year as an NCAA player.

If Fedotov does come over, the Phantoms should their best goalie tandem in years with him and Ersson. Maybe Sandstrom, too.

The Flyers are an ideal poker opponent.
