Yeah Miller has 1 more game left but that still means another shorthanded roster against Boston on Saturday if Lindgren doesn't play. I have never seen this before in my life. It's not good.

It was awful timing on Lindgren and Miller then the league doesn’t let us use the emergency player rule. But if the goal is the Stanley Cup, getting is worth the stretch of playing short handed. They just played .800 hockey for 2 straight months. It’s not the end of the world to lose a few games while the team adjusts to TDL additions and playing without 2 of our 3 best defensemen.

How little do Rangers fans losing their minds right now have to think of Lindgren and Miller? They are huge parts of this team and they’ll both be back soon.

We must be watching different games. He just had a stretch where he was averaging a PPG and I think he's been playing really well. I don't look at 1 game samples.

Lafreniere has nice 10 game spurts and then gets lazy or tired or both. At least Kakko always gives an honest consistent effort and so does Chytil.

No matter who is hurt, playing or not playing we currently have a D corps of Adam Fox (really, really good player) and 5 other guys who can't pass or skate with the puck and did nothing to address the problem.

Lindgren can at times but that is probably because Fox jukes the crap out of people when he reverses and creates plenty of time and space for him. Miller? Haven't seen him make many good outlet passes. Miller can skate it out ok. Trouba, nope. Schneider can't make a good pass usually.

Travel has added to the fatigue IMO. Another 4 on the road and who knows when they will have a full roster. It could be a problem.

screw the boston game. i wouldn't give a shit if both pastrnak and bergeron get hat tricks. in the long run that game will be meaningless.

the team will have a nice break to heal, prepare, and hopefully be ready for a rough patch starting with montreal. if they go 5-5 or 6-4 during that span i'd be fine with that.

But it does matter though when Lindgren and Miller are in the lineup. Miller has 30 points and yes he can skate with the puck. Also you can't address every problem. Those guys cost assets and money.

That was not my point. My point is moving forward he can easily go back into his “witness protection” mode and become completely ineffective. Tonight he was 100% ineffective. Let’s also face it- if he was even close to a legitimate contributing first overall pick the Rangers would not have had to go out and get two stars from other teams just to try and cover up his low offensive output numbers.

I just don't see it. It was a nice story that they climbed out of a shitty start to go on a dominant run but lately I'm not seeing it. And let's not forget they have the following losses this year on their resume:

1) Chicago by 3 goals

2) Gave San Jose their first win

3) Gave Anaheim their first regulation win

4) Montreal

5) Columbus 5-1

6) Edmonton after leading 3-0 in the third

7) Islanders after leading 3-1 in the third

8) Devils after leading 3-1. I don't remember if they led 3-2 or 3-1 in third.

9) Ottawa after leading with a minute left

10) Embarrassed twice by a mediocre at best Caps team at home

What’s better is that every single one of these people would have still been negative if the Rangers held onto the 3-2 lead despite playing down 2 guys and 2 of our top 3 defensemen on a back to back after an away game against a team on a run with 2 new players in our top 6 and PP. Imagine spending so much time and energy on something that you log on to a website to share your thoughts with strangers, and you’re that negative about the most talented team the Rangers have had in decades that just added 2 top playoff performers.

The only thing that proves these wet blankets wrong is lifting the cup, and you know how much tonight’s game matters when it comes to that? Nothing. Doesn’t matter at all. So what the hell are we doing?
