I don't know what to think of your rants tonight. You can't bitch about a guy playing his first game for a new team after playing his entire career with 1 team. It's not a good look. He scored 92 points last year and has 44 in 54 this year for a really bad team. He's not done.

Well when there's a one game sample that's all I have to go off. I was just unimpressed. Can he improve? Yeah. Can he be another regular season MSL? Yes. MSL showed up in the playoffs which would be nice if Kane did, but there's no guarantee of that either. MSL also played in a significantly easier Eastern Conference in 2014.

He didn't even have a bad game. He just didn't score. It's just so hard to take anything seriously after 1 game when the guy just flew into NY. We are talking about an elite player. Older but still damn good. I'm pretty confident he will have you eating crow later this season and don't worry I'll be there to remind you also.
Honestly, once the refs interjected their BS in this game it looked more like a practice and a scrimage for the Rangers. Yea, I am disappointed we didn't get the win. What matters more to me is that the Rangers win the last game of the SCF, and not Kane's first game as a member of the Rangers.

I still think Kane looked pretty good overall. He looked better than Tarasenko did in his debut, goal aside. And Tarasenko’s game has elevated tremendously as he has gotten more comfortable…no doubt Kane’s will do the same. It’s a big adjustment and he still had several dangerous chances.
Don’t get me wrong, I still have questions. Panarin was forcing so many brutal passes. Against NJ if we play them that is NOT going. To end well. Hopefully it was on another level tonight due to first game w Kane pressure and wanting to set his bud up. But it’s just gotta get cleaned up. Also, stating the obvious but their depth is going to get tested the rest of the year and POs.

As you said it's one game, I don't think it's fair to expect much more out of Kane tonight, considering his teammates were profoundly bad. He's also trying to adjust to Gallant's non-system of do-whatever, among other things (Panarin just being a flat out different player now). We all spoke of Tarasenko, how tough it was to move on after 12 years or whatever in St. Louis. Kane was in Chicago since 2007.
For Christ's sake he absolutely turned it on in his last few games with the 'Hawks. He's still got game. Is he 2015 Kane? No. But that was never advertised.
Sincerely doubt the guy's a lemon. He wasn't even bad tonight anyway.

Its our 3rd consecutive game short on defensemen, 2nd on forwards after Motte went down, and it was the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
May we remember while we all praise Tarasenko for his last 2 games that although he scored on his 1st shift, he was not beating the world in any way. Kane will be fine, he left the only team and city he's known for 16 seasons and has had a whirlwind 24-36 hours. Chill tf out.
Its exhausting with the whole sky is falling narrative for some of you folks. It must be exhausting to work up the energy to constantly be negative and spiteful because it's exhausting for me to read and its hurts my eyes when they roll from reading all the woah is me.
We are missing literally one half of our top 4. We had a 6th defenseman (Mikkola) playing 1st pair and a 7th defenseman (or AHL defesneman even)(Harpur) playing 2nd pair. For the love of god would you pull your head out of yourguys arses and realize the world isn't over because we lost on the 2nd night of a back to back under less than ideal playing circumstances.
If you really expected Kane and Panarin to click at 100% when they haven't played together for 7 years and Kane is coming to a new city for his 1st game in a new system after just being traded from his 16-year home, you're wearing rose colored glasses. Hell, I'm hoping they rekindle that, but it will take some time to get in sync. And who knows, maybe they don't click the way it used to (I'm willing to bet they will).
But guess what, we have a top 9 that can mesh in about 9 different ways, and that is why you bolster your roster at the Trade Deadline. The value of Kane and Tarasenko will not be seen over the final 20 regular season games, but in the playoffs where both Cup winners will be needed to be impactful to bring us a Cup.
Just please, for the love of god, do not come to the post game forum and while like a petulant child after every loss, or win in which Panarin and Kane don't register 4 points each. Its tiring, exhausting, and makes a mockery of the entire fanbase because you can't look at a 60-minute game of hockey objectively without throwing a temper tantrum cause it didn't go like you played it in NHL 23 last night.

…Cam Talbot looked like NY Ranger in place of an injured Lundqvist Cam Talbot tonite. Yeah he gave up two breakaways and a lucky bounce goal (Tuba’s deadly backhander LMFAO) - else, he was solid like a rock. Especially on the kills.

Im not sure if you guys noticed the fact that Tarasenko pulled the exact same move against Talbot 8 years ago in the MSG.
there it is. at the game i said i could have sworn hed done the exact same thing with the blues years ago...thought it was on hank tho so was wrong on that. even funnier it was talbot twice in the same place with both on different teams.
