I always thought they should go back to 78 game schedule....that would help a little bit.

Back-to-backs would be tolerable if (as someone suggested) they don't involve travel or they do the old "home and home" series where travel is minimal (i.e., NY/Boston, NY Phila.). But, of course, I'm thinking logically again and we know the NHL does not use logic.

We'll never revert back to lesser games....it is pointless for any of us to be discussing it . Divisional play however should be rethought . Get a bit more emotion back in some games . Maybe change up the WC thing only having 2 per division making it for #1-2 teams per division and then 4 wildcards per conference .

Initial excitement and soon thereafter disappointment, like everyone else felt.
Where I may be different than the negative Nancy's (you know who you are) I take a long gander at what I just witnessed, pause and instead of feeling infuriated about the loss, (which in all actuality wasn't surprising because of the scircumstances) I can't help but gaze into the near future of this team and evaluate that this team is DESTINED to lift up that Cup, if not this year, then next. Maybe our kids "aren't ready", but they were last PO's, so maybe they are.
Tank and Kane add so much talent and the EXPERIENCE of Cup winners that this "has to be" the intangibles needed...similar to what Goodrow and Panarin have already experienced attempting to share with the youngins. 2X more.
With them, everybody else just has to play a role and do what they do.
There is a CUP to be had, it's instilled in them all now, the confidence has risen, just by looking around the locke room.
They just have to go and get it. It's there for the taking. I believe that Mika, Kreids and Fox can envision that by winning at least one cup, it will ensure their respective #'s will eventually rise to the rafters, while we look back at these additions and understanding that stressful hours and wonderful moments are upon us. NOW. Just look around, and appreciate every moment, be one of the fans that support them 100% don't be one of the ones that think they know better, ending up feeling like a traitor. Be grateful for what we have now, I know I am. you am.

Honestly just the absolute dumbest decision to not at least wait until a face off win to pull the goalie. I won’t even get into the timing and if it was considered early or not but when you’re a terrible face off team how could you NOT wait for a faceoff win to pull him. So brain dead.

I think he is a problem. He isn't the problem. The big problem is our defense is gassed. Our we haven't iced a full team in weeks. We are injured. That is the big problem.

There's a group of fans here who cream in their undies every time the Rangers lose.

It gives them the chance to rip whomever they hate. Usually it's the coach or the GM, Panarin, and perhaps now some will claim Kane as their favorite player to hate.

13 pages of overreacting to this game is why some people need to log off after losses. They happen. Especially on a B2B when you've played 4 in 6 days without 6 defenseman in any of them

Remember when Ryan Clowe scored 2 goals in his first game with us after the TDL and that was basically all he did? Would you guys rather that happen with Kane??

Cant call up jones cant make a move. We have no cap space. Unless it involves sending Harpur down, which i am not opposed to at all. But jones makes over 900k, so I don’t think we can call him up even if we send down harpur.

Drury botched the cap with carrying a 23 man roster when there was no need too.

Just need to stay healthy though. That is by far the biggest factor. Hopefully Motte is good again soon.

They're not changing anything playoff related except to add more games if they can....that's where the owners make their real money.

I’m indifferent with Gallant, think the team like you said is gassed. Thankfully after tomorrow will have a few days off between games.

The forum will want the next new shiny toy and once the honeymoon is over same thing. You know how it goes. Like Gallant to get a couple of playoff runs before we move on, imo.

Last night was expected. They have been playing shorthanded and it was the 2nd of a back to back. Adrenaline carried them for a bit and then wore off by the end of the 2nd period.

I do think Gallant pulled the goalie too early

At the same time, they had half a period of power play time where they should have cashed in at least a couple of times with the talent that was on the ice. The reasoning that they haven't had practice time has some merit, but you can't pot even one goal with that amount of firepower just on improvisation? If they had stopped trying to force feed each other east-west...

Onto our team… we look like a team that doesn’t practice and has no clue what Xs and Os are.

Watching them get out of the zone is a Chinese fire drill with Benny hill music. Zero structure in that regard. Getting through the neutral zone is just as bad

The NHL will probably allow a call-up for Motte, but no more than that, so still a net 0 and we’ll still be short.

They need to do something to raise the stakes of the regular season games as you say. A first round bye is impossible- what if home ice was tilted back to 3-3-1?

Adapting is not in Rangers' DNA.....seems like decades since they had anything other than Plan A.
