Post-Game Talk: PGT: Rangers @ Sabres 4/19/13

It is a team game and Torts is the coach. I am happy for the whole team, including the coach and the entire organization. Give up the hate for a night. It will do wonders.

You seem to be happy with the fact that you think he'll be retained. I'm not even talking about this game, when Torts pulled the ultimate **** you to Lundqvist.

How about put your top guys on so that they don't almost allow 2 goals? How about so that you don't throw your life-line under the bus? Geez if he was so worried about hurting the feelings of a bunch of professional athletes and coaches making millions of dollars, he could have told his top guys to just possess the puck and kill the 2 minutes without allowing shorthanded chances/taking penalties or scoring.

I think you're missing the point.

I'd rather not continue discussing this, it doesn't seem like we're getting anywhere.

Let's just agree to disagree and be happy that the Rangers scored 8 and won decisively. :)

Score 8 goals.

Everyone still hates each other.

mig

I am happy we figured out how to score, I am not happy that Torts hurt Hanks chance at a Vezina.

And if the grumpy cat becomes our 2013 playoff push avatar then this example should be one.

I thought putting the 4th line out on the PP was questionable only because we were not really controlling the play at that point and playing very sloppy in our own end. In the Pittsburgh game we were in complete control. I know, I know we were winning 8-3 but it just didn't seem like the right time.

Putting your 4th line scrubs in a situation they may have seen once this season before and this leaving Lundqvist vulnerable shows MASSIVE disrespect to Lundqvist.

They did it against a far, far better hockey team than the Sabres only a few games ago. Was it disrespect then too?

Everyone is neglecting thew other 3 goals scored.

Goals 1, 2 and 3 were not the 4th line's fault. You could say that Hank's Vezina chances were hurt by those 3 goals too.

You're not making a point that I can agree with at all. It goes against what I believe to be common sense. But sure, I don't think anyone is changing his mind and I'm happy we scored. Someone on facebook scared me, because I came in when it was 7-3, I read his status when it was 6-0 and thought he meant we were losing.

My DVR decided Buffalo VS Rangers was actually Tampa VS Oakland, and recorded that baseball game instead...so pissed...is there a way to watch this game online?

Common sense and good sportsmanship aren't always the same thing.

I don't see the problem with giving a line that sees little icetime... icetime. ?

These are all professional athletes like you say, so I'm sure that Hank could give a rats ass about who is on the ice, they are all his teammates.

Also the last time I checked, the team does not play for individual trophies.

I'm not sure if you're expecting me to say "no it wasn't you're right, I didn't think of that!" I don't see why the situation is any different. They just got away with it then.

And, of all people on the team, I'm sure Lundqvist doesn't play for them either. I'm sure he wants them, and I'm sure he likes getting them... but I'm also sure he wants to stay in the goal to ensure his team's victory even more, no matter what the score is.

They have a 4 goal lead with 3 minutes left and he shouldn't give the 4th line pp time? Do you want a crying towel?

One of the only times I agree with you. :handclap:

Although it does upset me that the team collapsed like that in front of Hank.

Restatement of the same question I asked another poster earlier.

What exactly did you expect when the team was up 6-0 with half a game to play?

Finally, someone with common sense around here!!!

This exactly. You knew it was coming. I just hoped it didn't. Nonetheless it upset me

Something else to mention. This was still the 2nd of a back-to-back set that included travel. Teams records in the 2nd games aren't good. And I'm 99% sure that if you looked into it, teams in the 2nd in 2 nights probably give up a lot of 3rd period goals too.

So no complaints from the Kreider crowd? He got 8 mins tonight, less than stiffs like Pyatt.

Look, don't worry about individual awards because in the relative scheme of things, they don't mean ****! I'll bet you dollars to donuts that Hank doesn't give a flying **** about a Vezina when a playoff position and a potential shot at ****sburgh is staring us right in the face! Bring those bums on.
