Yeah, I'm pretty sure it rewarded Lundy.
He did let in quite a few goals that he shouldn't have. If he wanted to pad his stats maybe he should have saved a couple of easy ones.

3. And it completely cost Lundqvist another goal cause stupid Asham takes a penalty.
Pretty sure thats the last time you see Torts do that.
Guys saying "respect your opponent", how about "respect your own goalie" ?
Just saying.... Torts knows Hank is in the running for Vezina..
Putting the 4th line on the PP up 5 goals is an unwritten rule, much like not punching an opponent when they fall to the ice. It's the "Fighters Code".
Exactly right. We did it against Pittsburgh in the 6-1 game too. No one complained then.

We are Ranger fans, what's a blow out?
Unwritten rule almost cost Torts' team 2 goals and did cost 1 and maybe a Vezina for the goalie that's only reason that POS still has a job. Completely threw his life-line under the bus with that move. Unwritten rule my ass. Bill Belichick puts his starters on the field up 40 points in the 4th quarter. Torts can't put his regular PP on the ice with like 3 minutes to go in the game? If for no other reason than to prevent shorthanded chances and not take stupid penalties? Why respect the opponent when they score after you show this class?
Someone understands why I was mad about it.
Rangers eliminate Flyers and some still want to fire the coach. Too funny because it is the Flyers coach who is a walking dead man. Our coach is here to stay. Nice win team!
This is ridiculous. Hank let in 4 goals this game and at least 2 were soft goals. He didn't win us this game. If he cared about his stats, he should have played better
Just realized Hank let in as many goals as the Sabres goalies did. Anywho, good win, got the 2 points, I'm happy.![]()
No...no they were not. But ok.
Are you seriously equating Lundqvist being human and giving up questionable goals and Torts consciously throwing him under the bus?
There are bigger things than winning by 5 instead of 4. These are the kinds of things that make hockey great.
Football isn't hockey. The unwritten rule exists in hockey. Who cares about your comparison? It has no place here.
The fact that you so proudly say that this POS that doesn't even respect the only reason that he has a job is "here to stay" makes me want to vomit.

Yeah hockey, where you see ******** like Kaleta almost paralyze Brad Richards and where you see guys fight because of clean hits is too classy to have your regular PP unit out on the ice with 3 minutes to go. You have ******** on many teams give hits that might end players' lives, but G-d forbid a team wins 9-3 instead of 8-3 (I won't even count the goal Buffalo scored). Seriously this mythical belief by NHL fans that the NHL is some classy league needs to stop. It's a fantasy.
Going by what he's done in the past, he could have had those.
Torts could have pulled him when the game was 6-0. Would have given Lundy a much needed breather.
No we were up by a lot. Since it was nearly impossible to lose, torts rewarded his 4 th line by putting them on the PP. I understand hank has pulled this club for most of his career but it isn't all about him.

But hank played 60 minutes, the other two play 21 minutes and 39 minutes![]()
