Who would've thought, someone who finished top 10 in points and 7th in Selke voting at the age of 24 is projected to command that type of money. Even with what his next contract figures to be, he's worth a haul (if we did go down that route), players that are as young and talented as he is are pretty much never available (Matthew Tkachuk being the real exception, Eichel's case had extenuating circumstances with the whole disk replacement which a lot of team's doctors were vehemently against). 11-12 million long term would universally have all Canucks fans happy.
