I really like Ula as well. I was also surprised they made Levac a scratch after I thought he played a strong game, including a key goal Tuesday night. Maybe they had already decided on the rotation for the weekend or something to that effect. In the four shifts/game that Genc Ula plays in (when he's actually in the lineup) , he is one of the best players on the ice. So let's see more Genc Ula, shall we? At 16 years of age, gents, the Petes have a future player in Ula
I like Lefebvre and he's done a lot for the Petes for many years but he's not exactly a Wilson type player is he.. And I mean the physical side of his game. I haven't enjoyed watching him try to draw penalties by embellishing - hate that - that's for FIFA. Anyway McIntyre has answered the bell lately with some goals and physical play - you notice him. He's a character for sure. Melee is the captain and heart n soul kinda guy with some skill and speed. Bryant needs a few more games to get his feet under him. We know he's staying anyway lol.I think we can only reason that this one isn't a completely on-ice decision, if you read between the lines of what they expect Bryant to bring (defense first/two-way, leadership/former captain) etc... there's a reason they brought him in and perhaps those aren't exactly Lefebvre's strengths.
I'm really not sure why Rye or Johnston is on the team. I say that because it seems like the coaches have no faith in the backup. Maybe Rye will start Sunday, but I'd be surprised. They don't seem to have any confidence in the backups.back to Bowen again definitely thought this was a start for Rye
Rob Wilson has said that Easton Rye will get the start in Windsor on Sunday.I'm really not sure why Rye or Johnston is on the team. Where was Melee in 2nd and 3rd period? Is Lefevre with the team on the weekend trip?Need to come out hard in the second
Young was also scratched before the game started. Petes essentially end up being without Melee, Young, Fitzgerald and McIntyre for this game. That’s lot of offence lost. I would assume Lefebvre is on the road tripWhere was Melee in 2nd and 3rd period? Is Lefevre with the team on the weekend trip?
They start him in the game where they figure they’ll probably lose anyways guess they wanted to get these first 2 and be happy with a 2-1 trip but no likely 1-2Rob Wilson has said that Easton Rye will get the start in Windsor on Sunday.
Why would young be scratched? Makes zero senseYoung was also scratched before the game started. Petes essentially end up being without Melee, Young, Fitzgerald and McIntyre for this game. That’s lot of offence lost. I would assume Lefebvre is on the road trip
I agree. It’s on every single other player who has seemingly somehow taken a step back from last yearRye was solid this afternoon wasn't on him
Where we get more Rob Wilson hockey!! You like no action? Sitting passively and doing nothing? This is your team!! You're in a tie game and you play not to lose (instead of try to win)?? You've come to the right place. God, it's painful to watch.Only 319 days until the 2025/2026 home opener
He should be scratched. Wilson talks about being a tough coach and holding players accountable (though they all say that) but he does nothing except put Taylor out repeatedly to make the same mistakes over and over. And it's not mistakes that are excusable. It's laziness, selfishness and a complete lack of effort.Rough game for Taylor. He’s a liability on the ice turnover at his own blue line leads to a 2 on 1 and then a stupid cross checking penalty. Him and Addy have been non factors all season pretty disappointing so far
He wasn’t bad but the first and third goals shouldn’t go in. That said he also made some big saves Petes just don’t have the offence to score many goals makes it tough of the goalies when you know giving up 3-4 you aren’t likely gonna winRye was solid this afternoon wasn't on him
I am so glad we have this for the next 8 years! It’s the worst possible hockey you can imagine and even when we had “stars” it was the exact same way. Championship or not, nobody should have even been signed for 8 years. At least other rebuilding teams show encouraging signs of growth and development. That doesn’t happen here and every offensive instinct these players have is to be forgottenWhere we get more Rob Wilson hockey!! You like no action? Sitting passively and doing nothing? I'm trying not to get too negative, but it's really, really difficult to see anything positive right now. It's not just the win-loss record. We knew they'd be bad, but we also know that, realistically they could/should have 4 or 5 wins right now. But Wilson is not a good coach. The numbers speak for themselves. He may be better than what we've had the past 30 years (minus Dick Todd and Dave MacQueen, the bar is low) but this is just awful. Combine his coaching with the bizarre, incompetent management decisions (the ongoing OA mess) and why the heck would anyone want to go and watch this garbage? Unless you have a season ticket, in which case we're stuck!I am so glad we have this for the next 8 years!
