The passivity is just too much. I get the 1-1-3, if that's what he thinks he needs to do, he's not the first and won't be the last, but at one point on three on three last night he sent out Page - Jenken - Strohack. There is no chance that trio is scoring a goal against Oshawa's dynamic players. You already have the one point at that point... what are we doing here?
Actively trying not to lose, instead of trying to win.

On a positive note, the Petes rank second in the OHL with a PK% of 83.6%, only trailing Sudbury who sits at 83.9%! This has been a much needed successful development

My positive note is Levac. I didn't really see it in training camp but he's playing a solid role as a 16 year old and I kind of get it now. He may be a player down the line.

Wish they wouldn't scratch Ula to play Marentette.

Verner is responsible for the penalty kill and as the stats show it is very good. And the power play has been improving.

No Lefebvre again. Looking more and more like he’s gonna be the odd man out…
Makes perfect sense. Bryant is a winger who they just picked up and was captaining Niagara so you get leadership which is what is needed plus added scoring. And Lefebvre should maybe get a spot on some other team but what the Pete’s need now is leadership.

Also about the both of them. According to EP both are centres and both left handed too. Definitely seems Lefebvre has been replaced.

Doesn't make any sense. Team In Petes position needs to be keeping their best players and Lefebvre is better than McIntyre in every aspect. What's the point of trading picks to get Bryant and then go and trade our leading scorer. This year has been an absolute circus by management and I hope they get Lefebvre traded asap not fair to him to be sitting out.

I think there is a chance they have already decided to keep Chase Lefebvre and the other overage spot is between Jonathan Melee and Ryder MacIntyre and both are going to play this weekend to determine who stays of the two.

Maybe they plan on getting a 20 year old d rather than McIntyre

FINALLY! Clutch goal by Cameron! Let’s build off of this
I think the Petes are a better team with Gavin Bryant and a healthy Brayden McCallum in the lineup. I hope they get the overage situation dealt with soon. It was a distraction when they had Liam Sztuska with the team and it may be again with the current situation.

Yes! Pressure is off now. Hopefully they play like they have nothing to lose now (which they really don't, it would take a miracle to make the playoffs). Now they can play a bit loose (not structurally, not with Wilson as coach) but without feeling the weight of a losing streak.

nothing like a roadie to help with a team reset!

-1st win last night
- back at it tonight in Flint with some momentum
- day off Saturday…..I would expect a stop in Sarnia to watch Fitzgerald and Gowan play for a medal at the U17 World challenge
- Sunday afternoon play Windsor

It will be interesting to see line combinations now with Fitzgerald returning to the lineup next week.

Still Makes zero sense to trade/release Lefebvre and keep McIntyre after trading for Bryant.

I always supported Oke and his decisions but this year makes literally zero sense.
I think we can only reason that this one isn't a completely on-ice decision, if you read between the lines of what they expect Bryant to bring (defense first/two-way, leadership/former captain) etc... there's a reason they brought him in and perhaps those aren't exactly Lefebvre's strengths.
