Let me just say that I am a fan of this Grayden Strohack deal. Tuin was mentioned and he is not as tough as Strohack. This is a solid deal for the Petes (3 year player) and is a prototypical Petes dman that should thrive under Wilson etc.

I agree. They needed to add a 2006 left defenceman. They are set for the future on right defence with Carson Cameron, Liam Ladds and Brayden Velliaris but needed to add a left shooting defenceman to go with Martin Matejicek and Dylan Woulds. The Petes are doing well rebuilding their defence with two that are 18, two that are 17 and two that are 16. They have a balance if ages on the blueline.

I am thinking now we have our 2006 left defenceman the Petes should try to get a 2006 forward as it appears adding an overage forward is likely not going to happen.

It’s looking like we now know what the new Petes look like. I’d like to wish this team the best of luck as they develop into another Championship team for this city. Electric city will be electrifying in years to come. To the new players coming on board and to the Petes who have been here this is your time to show the young lads what you learned winning last years Championship so they can carry the torch.

Sounds like Oshawa is getting Sandu or whatever from Guelph… if that’s the case maybe Bedkowski makes sense. I’d be okay with adding two big physical young defenseman. Fits what Wilson likes

I hope not, Sandhu was looking really good before being out with injury. I'd rather part with Topp.

I think he will be, he could have left this offseason if there were opportunities for him. I wouldn't be heartbroken if we had a more offensive oriented coach but you can't deny his results.

Is Strohack our Konnor Smith replacement down the line?

What an absolutely terrific deadline by GM Mike Oke! 4 '07 1st rounders on this team now and this team is set up greatly for years to come. All that is next is to win the draft lottery and add Braidy Wassilyn to this core and nobody is going to want to have to face this Petes team in the near future. Again, I applaud Oke and his staff for this impressive deadline and I really look forward to watching the new young stars grow the rest of this season and beyond! #GoPetesGo

Imagine they wanted Bedkowski or Topp but prices maybe too high. Don’t mind getting a cheaper 05 and then revisiting some options in the offseason. Job well done by Oke and company
