Lol imagine the 07 core moving forward if he turned Melee and McCoy into Taylor and the Beck deal with Saginaw goes down?

Cameron, Addy, Taylor and Young

Cadorin and Ladds

Plus these guys are having big time U18 seasons… Lynds, Parish, Johnston and Del Colombo.

City of Peterborough just needs to get building that new memorial centre and maybe we can host the 2027 memorial cup ;)
Maybe that would convince Gavin Lock to jump to the OHL

The Petes not taking a OA back from Ottawa who has 4 now is interesting. Maybe they just don’t want another OA but if this Dubois to Kingston deal is happening maybe they’d be getting Callens back? Although I could see any OA who gets traded here just saying they’d rather go play junior a somewhere close to home

I never thought of it that way because I always think they’d rather play in the league but you may be right. It does make sense. Some guys will need to pass through waivers so maybe the Petes will pick a couple up that do want to play there.

Petes will definitely priortize playing their young guys over a OA who has 30 games left that’s just why I don’t see some guys wanting to play here. Especially in Lawrence’s case he’s from Orleans moving all the way here for a couple months may not be worth it for him when there’s junior a teams close to home

I'm shocked they're getting so many picks for the OAs.

If you look at the quality OA’s traded leading up to the deadline (Schmidt and Budnick) and then Ottawa’s trade from Kressler, it was more a matter of whether you’d get a warm body or not. If not, it was likely going to be something like you received for those two guys. They are both quality players and will supply an impact to their new teams.

Small correction - Budnick is an '04 so not an OA. Will likely be back as an OA though.
