Petes are built for Playoffs the more I watch them. Good for them taking it to Ottawa. I'm really surprised how Ottawa is struggling.

Totally agree and a closer look tells me everything I need to know.....

  • The Petes have nine 03s in their lineup while the 67s have only four 03s playing with Boucher out.

  • In the playoffs, it is a different game than the regular season - veterans and size matter so much more to team success.

  • Dave Cameron has to do a better job of protecting the two 16yo Dmen - Marelli and Mews. These two players have had great seasons and they are going to be great players in this league but this is the first year in their hockey careers that they have played 60+ games against players that are this much older/bigger than they are. To pair them together seems like a mistake to me. Cameron dressed 7 Dmen tonight yet Marelli & Mews were always on the ice together. The only time they weren't was when Mews and Smyth were paired together on the defensive zone faceoff which the Petes won and then Dubois scored the tying goal.

Smith with the diving poke check on Tolnai and then we go up the ice and Othmann with the fake-deke five-hole for the EPIC WIN.
Great play by Smith, Simmer great great goaltender, but our disciple as a team has been the key .Great job boys, Go Petes Go

Good job all around by the kids on the ice and the coaching staff. This will still be a tough series to win. Goals are hard to come by in this series so one change I would like to see the Petes make is to switch Stillman and Avon. Put Avon back to LW on the line with Beck and Lockhart. This change would allow Lockhart to return to his proper position Right wing and hopefully get Beck going and if it works would give the Petes two strong offensive lines. Stillman lacks offensive ability and would fit in fine with Dubois and Melee. Like i said Beck is struggling offensively and with wingers like Lockhart and Avon I think that good things could happen. Any thoughts?

I like Melee-Beck-Stillman. Keep the puck deep for bit. That suits Beck and Stillman especially.
Lockhart can play RW with Avon-Dubois

Yup. Peterborough on their game presently. They are a solid team poised to win this series IMO.

Ottawa is overrated and has overachieved. Fantastic regular season hoopla again but there's a good chance they're not going to the big dance. Boyd dropped the ball or in this case bobbled the pass by failing to load up with solid defenseman that can skate and move the puck. Too weak physically up front and are getting banged around by the Petes. The 67's game is to skate and carry the puck but the big Peterborough defence is standing tall. Reports say that Morrison may be hurt as well which is not good.

Let's see how Cameron adapts here moving into game 4 but think the Petes come out of this up 3-1....

This game tonight is a real test for the Petes as to whether they have turned a corner as a team. In the regular season, big wins would often be followed by a loss. Can we be consistently good? So far, in the playoffs, this is a team that is buying into a system and is hearing the message from the coaches.

WOW! Standing room tickets on the club level concourse now being sold as well as tables for the game in the restaurant! Petes Nation is READY #GOPETESGO

Agree -they’re targeting Othmann -he just about got strangled right at the bench by Stonehouse (I think) pulling his jersey

The refs better start calling this stuff
refs are blatantly one sided right now which sucks

There’s all this talk on the 67s board about both teams being sluggish. That there’s no flow to the game. What I saw was a Petes team that smothered the 67s for most of the game. Maybe that looks like sluggish hockey or maybe it’s just the Petes game plan working. Go Petes Go!

They must be doing the same they did to Sudbury! We could not get close to getting any second chances. Big D playing tough in their own end. They might struggle in regular season at times but man do they rise to the occasion in the playoffs.

The coach (who some on this board said should be gone) has the players all buying into the system. Give credit to Avon, great game played hard in the corners and makes that line a scoring threat. Series aint over by a long shot...Ottawa is too good and Petes cant let up one inch.
Absolutely agree. Going back to ottawa gotta lock in and be ready to go. Will be an intense game

This team just keeps gaining confidence and yes, are buying into a system. Kudos to Coach Wilson et al for a great job these playoffs. The last two games have been exhilarating at the Mem!
Not too shabby for a guy everyone was calling for his firing! Ex Wolfer as coach doing good. I saw him calling out to Smith to think when one of our Sudbury Wolf players was trying to goad him into a fight. Players are buying in. When I saw the player respond to the coach in that fashion I knew the Wolves were done. They are zoned in and that will take them far.
