A lot of people are just sick. Maybe he’s struggling a bit with the flu?

If it were a trade situation, he wouldn’t have been in the warmup unless he was traded while he was in the warmup….
We are as desperate for some trade news as anyone.....just let us grasp at straws and look stupid doing it :help:

Can OMG67 please tell us who else on the Pete’s isn’t elite? I like how it matures

Hit the ground running. The break did the boys good!

The more I think about it the more I want the Petes to get Luca DelBelBelluz. Similar point production to our top guys this season and he just seems like a great fit as a complete player. He won’t overshadow Robertson, Avon, Lockhart, Stillman, Othmann but would really fit right in to the game we play. DBB doesn’t come with all the baggage that Wright does including media attention etc. but plays a similar game to our current core to blend right in and continue to increase production

Stew Kernan just said on the Petes radio broadcast that the JR Avon, Tucker Robertson, Connor Lockhart line now has 37 points combined over the last 4 games

I was at game today in Oshawa and I saw Dezoete playing. He was a -1 as was Panwar which is very hard to do when you win 6-1. Anyway right now the Petes are playing well and for some reason are getting bounces their way like I've never seen before. Usually the other way around especially in the 'Shwa.

Number one line is on fire. Would like to see Dezoete and Lardis start scoring or even Purdeller who is coming closer every game.. Melee has stepped up his game and the goals are following him now. He works for it and is reliable defensively.

I've never seen an Oshawa team with a lack of compete like this but it's their turn for a losing season I guess.

Pumping chests when slapping around the dregs of the league now? Sad. Gotta celebrate something I guess.

Stay in your lane.....all this elite talk is moot at this point because the 67s and Petes will be different teams 10 days from now and they don't face each other until mid February. Let's just let things play out and we'll see you guys in 6 weeks in Peterborough, then again for a home and home the last week of the regular season.
I expect we'll meet in the playoffs too.......not sure which round, 2nd or 3rd but I like the Petes' chances in a close series.

That is a little premature prediction as Ottawa has not added anything as of yet and we have no idea what they may do. You must be talking about the current Ottawa team without additions.

Should Clarke return to Barrie then probably 3 teams in the East will be very disappointed. It will probably be a 4 team battle between North Bay, Peterborough, Ottawa and Barrie.

I think we should all wait and evaluate these teams after the trade deadline has passed.

What would we be disappointed about? If the Petes add 2 solid D then it doesnt matter what anyone else does, we'll have as good or better of a roster then anyone else

You have no idea what anyone else may add or how these teams will look. Disappointed because 3 of the 4 teams I mentioned will miss the final. Good or better roster than anyone else as you say is only on paper but the game is played on the ice.

Good luck to all and we will see who rises to the top.

priority #1 is a suitable centre for Othmann imo, then the top OA RD the Petes can afford. There should be no reason to think about splitting Avon-Robertson-Lockhart.

The Ottawa trolls are as obsessed as the Oshawa trolls.
I poke around a lot of threads here and OMG67 is no troll if that's what you're in fact saying. The whole discussion around what defines an elite forward line became a partisan thing but judging from his many well-thought out posts across many team threads, OMG67 seems well invested/interested in the OHL and nothing more. Most Petes fans are the same way.

There’s been multiple trolling remarks made. Well invested/interested people can still be trolls.

I have zero issues getting into it with certain posters. Dirty and I have had many differing opinions and discussions but they have always been courteous for the most part. We disagree on Peterborough. We agree on lots of things. We go at it often when we disagree but we still have a mutual respect for each other and our discussions can be interesting, if not sometimes over the top.

Just remember, this whole discussion started with me saying the Petes should wait out the market before they make any moves involving Lardis and/or JVV. The reason why I stated that is the same reason as what Analyser is saying. BARRIE. Barrie has the ability to upset the apple cart. They are a reasonably decent team right now. They could add Clarke and Sale without moving one single asset to do it. They have ten 2nd round picks through 2026, many of them in the 2024 draft which would be very valuable to teams looking for picks to trade next deadline (Kingston, Saginaw, SSM).

If Barrie goes nuts, I am not sure many teams, Peterborough included, could truly match up. I would hate to see a team like Peterboough with limited traditional trade assets feel the need right now to move Lardis and JVV because they are short on picks only to watch Barrie on Monday leave them in the dust going, “WTF just happened?”

Then the discussion turned to what the term ELITE should mean. I hold a much higher bar it seems than many. I never discredited one single player. In fact, I gave each player credit for what they have done. I just hold them up to a higher stranded for the term elite. IMO, there should only be 2-3 elite lines in the league. Apparently others think there should be 12-20 of them based on the standard criteria required. I believe players should demonstrate their ability presently before we anoint them in a certain way. Elevating them for what they have done in the past on a different team, for example, and then automatically applying that level to their new team is not productive. That can work both ways. A player that underperformed with one franchise can turn it around with a new franchise jsut the same as one player in a run and gun system with one franchise can see a drop in numbers with another franchise. It happens. Go out, prove it, and then make the statement. The Petes as a team and their newly formed “top line” have not had an opportunity to prove anything to date.

I will be the first person in line to support the term Elite Line related to any line provided they are truly elite and they have proven it. Go do it first. Until then, the term should be, ”I think this line could be elite by the end of the season if they keep playing this way.” I can support that. But to suggest the line is elite just because you think it is based on no statistics to date other than a few games is just plain silly. That like suggesting a kid with 8 goals in his first four games of the season is going to score 136…. Do it for a half season. That is a solid sample size.

Comment like this are nothing but trolling.

While I think they way you changed the things in the elite line discussion were silly, I’m not calling that trolling.

I was trolling that comment the poster made, not the team, nor the fan base. I think it is fair game when you are called out directly.
