As a Habs fan I wouldn't worry to much about it as I can't see Hughes calling up Beck. If Beck played for a non competitive team then he may call him up but even then I would doubt it. Hughes had a press conference just a couple of days ago and he never even mentioned it.

This team should be embarrassed. Controlling the game and then take back to back penalties and blow the game in the span of 1:05. Five minute power play and can’t even get set up against a team below .500.

pathetic isnt the word. They need to change whoever is in charge of their powerplay. hayes leading scorer and doesnt touch puck on powerplay. This isnt on players. This is all on coaching! Cost them the game.

The Petes outplayed Guelph pretty much the whole game and still manage to lose. Leaver outplayed Simpson imo and the Petes defense was again suspect. Guelph's first two goals were a result of Konnor Smith turnovers .Getting Zanetti back will help.

And yeah, our PP is terrible.

COACHING COACHING COACHING. Rob Wilson and these assistants are no where near the coaches we need. No excuse to be this weak with this talent. We get outplayed and it seems when we win it’s lucky we do. Time for a real coach if we ever want to be serious about winning.

You get what you pay for. Can guarantee outside of Wilson these assistants are making peanuts compared to others around the league.

Maybe, maybe not idk. But what I do know is that it feels like if we had many other coaches we would be a point or two away from Ottawa and north bay with the talent this team has

Everyone needs to calm down. They deleted a bunch of players and added a bunch of players. This is like the first few weeks of exhibition play. They need ample time to find how to work together with the big shuffle of bodies.

Give it a couple more weeks. I’m sure they will find some flow and consistency. Things will come together. The key will be the 3rs line and the 3rd defence pairing. Their ability to make contributions will be the main deciding factor in the playoffs.

I’m not sure what’s worse….the Petes PP or the fact that a 67s fan has the clarity and understanding to tell it like it is. I appreciate your sage input @OMG67

Not making excuses but the fact is that the Petes were playing their 2nd game in 2 nights and faced a Guelph team that was rested and waiting. Coming off a physical game with Oshawa and playing a physical Guelph team has to wear the Petes down. I hope they’ve got something left in the tank for today’s game.

Zanetti’s return should help for sure.

Btw…..is it just me or does Othmann pass the puck between his legs a lot?
Did I miss the memo?
Are “pretty” goals worth 2?
Can we at least come to a compromise and only make high percentage passes up to the opposing blue line? You want to get fancy and make the highlight of the night?
Save that for inside the O zone and preferably not up high in the O zone where turnovers turn into odd man rushes the other way.

I’m not going to lie. I was concerned that the PP would peak too early and then dry up in the playoffs. What a relief

Lots of time to figure things out.
