Wouldn't be the first time someone including myself was wrong on a player. Players jump ahead of each other all the time.
right, but again, what was the pressure to sign the kid last year?

there was none, they signed him because they could, not because he needed to be signed.

And? It was to protect themselves against injury in a contending season

Looks like it’s all irrelevant because in the paper Oke says they’re looking for a place for Quizi to play this season

Mayer and Lockhart for sure. Then one of Dubois, Gauvreau and Simpson.
The Petes GM job in regard to overagers is very complicated and especially this year with so many potential candidates. The decision cannot really be finalized until it`s known who will be returning from NHL camps. Will Robertson be returned, How about Avon, both possibilities. At the same time the Petes want to find places for several guys to play and at the same time get the best possible return. And there are few teams in the league who have spots available for overagers. Act too fast and you might not get a good return, wait too long and all spots are filled. Not an easy job.

and that’s probably the right call. teams don’t need 4 goalies signed.

Angry lil man goddamn the lil guy packs a punch eh?

Thank you for the link -
I watched it and sheesh I don’t get this league anymore
Maybe this is a message to set the tone for the season ?
100% just setting a tone for less bullshit like this to happen during the season. Page has to control himself and if players start getting 4 game suspensions I’m sure they’ll control themselves too.

Looks like a good quilaity sucker punch, isn't this the same kid who gave it the Tie Domi title belt after a minor scuffle with Stonehouse last year?

I have only seen the coverage from the link provided by Section5Petes and to be honest -I cannot see much from that camera angle

Obviously there must be different camera angles available to the league for such a harsh punishment.

They couldn’t possibly decide from just that camera angle

Seriously though-what’s going on with all the trades between London and Niagara ?

I think it’s now 4 Knights that have become Ice Dogs

London is a good place to go shopping for depth, and winners with character and leadership abilities.
Had the Petes acted immediately when the June trade window opened, they may have been able to acquire the Leblanc twins cheap, and get the best possible returns for Mayer and Simpson from Niagara. I doubt the Petes would have accepted Copeland though.

IMO, I don't think Oke would do that to Simpson and Mayer......any of these veterans will have some say in where they will go for their OA season......at the very least, anywhere but Niagara. They definitely would not have accepted Copeland. This will be a trying season for the Petes this year, especially the 2nd half. It's important that any additions they make are hard working character guys.......that was a major reason for their success last season, it's important they keep that going forward.

The league needs to take over the running of Niagara like they did in Flint a few years ago. Their management are consistently making terrible trades

Some agents/wannabe GMs not having as much power over the Niagara owner as they want is more of an issue than the trades imo.

Dann & Zito trades were profitable. As much or more was had for Dickinson than any other defect. Fimis got the same return as Haight. Cooke and Enright & Struthers trades look real bad for Mississauga. Assadourian trade was good for both Niagara & Sudbury. Sobelev for 4 & 8 is fine. Bryant & 3rd for Waddick should be good for both teams.
Copeland, 2, 3 for Humphrey & Paris is a bit steep but a fine trade I think. Copeland would have fetched a 6-8 pick or be placed on waivers; and remember, Humphrey is a winner that was nearly a pt/g player at 18.
