I am so impressed with our new President’s comments.

I like that he said he didn’t want to wait 17 years for another championship.

I think it’s great he was a champion himself and pointed out the three banners won during his time as a player.

Yeah I think the likelihood of a promotion within the organization seems pretty high at the moment HOWEVER, as both Oke and Wilson have stated, there is significant exterior interest in the position and rightfully so.

But is it a “promotion” ? Isn’t he already listed as an Assistant Coach?
He just assists from the sky ?

The Petes seemed pretty quiet compared to other teams this off season -maybe we were still celebrating!

Technically a promotion from eye in the sky to actually on the bench. Also could potentially mean Nate Oke as well. We should know shortly

Not a surprise.....his hometown team and it's a pro league $.........If ice-time is an issue he might change his mind. I guess we'll see.
I'm fine with Purdeller as the only import in the lineup this year - it means one more young non-import player will get more ice-time and develop further than if Kaiser came.
I'm excited to see which guys have put in the work in the off-season and are ready to make an impact.
Apparently about 60 players coming to camp.

I wander how many goalies they bring there's not really any competition it's szuska and Simpson until Simpson is traded.
 
What do you expect a package for Simpson and rights to Beck would be?

Beck should get an 07 first rounder in return at minimum and yours isn’t coming to camp. Going to be hard to make a deal there. I’m guessing he ends up in Saginaw.

Simpson on the other hand could be had for the right deal. If London and Peterborough make a deal this season I’m hoping PBO native Kaeden Johnston is coming home.

IMO the Simpson situation is tough because the Petes will want to trade him prior to the start of the season.
Is London willing to make that trade early?
They may want to see how Bowen looks for the first couple of months.
If he plays great early, they may want to pick up a veteran goalie as a back up at a cheaper price.

Beck won't be traded until close to the deadline and he will cost an 07 1st rounder ++.
It's in the Petes' best interest because the market will be better and in the meantime the Petes can earn as many points as possible and hopefully squeak into the playoffs.

Why does he require a 07 if he isn’t guaranteed to be back?

Makes sense for Simpson, but you’d likely take an OA back eh?

Why would the Petes trade Beck for conditionals… they will wait and see his status and then maximize the return. Makes no sense to trade him until the deadline.

Petes are bringing 5 OA to camp they will not be looking for an OA in return for Simpson.

Weird Othmann is listed on the training camp roster but not Robertson. According to the examiner both might skate but strange only one is listed
