I think that Seattle is by orders of magnitude the best team the Petes played this year. All through the playoffs the Petes have won games by taking advantage of other teams mistakes, but Seattle makes so few of them they’re hard to beat. That being said the Petes were right there with them for most of the game. It wasn’t to be tonight but there’s no shame in that loss or in this season. Go Petes Go!

Extremely proud of this team. The heart was amazing and this playoff run was truly magical. Not many words after your season ends but nothing to be ashamed of at all. Thank you Peterborough. Go Petes Go!
From a Wolves fan who thought we’d take you to game 7, your team was very impressive and came together and played a total team game. Add great goaltending and a very successful playoff/season! Congrats and be proud! Well done.

Great year, outperformed all expectations all year. So much credit to Oke and the whole squad. Did as much as they possibly could.

Imagine what they could have done with a good coach.
Rob Wilson is the best Petes coach that we have had since Dick Todd. Players want to come to Peterborough because he is the coach. Akil Thomas chose to come to Peterborough instead of going to Ottawa or London. Connor Lockhart and Brennan Othmann wanted to come to Peterborough because Rob is our coach. It was his coaching the systems he had in place and confidence in his team that help lead them to win the OHL Championship. How history repeats itself. Some fans use to complain about Dick Todd and felt we needed another head coach. He was the best coach in the OHL from 1984-1993 and how he was missed after he left for the NHL in 1993. I think Rob would be missed in a similar manner if he left for a pro opportunity.

Congratulations to the Peterborough Petes for such a great season. You are the 2023 OHL Champions and represented the OHL very well at the Memorial Cup! I am an OHL fan and will plan on following the Petes and quietly cheer them on as they rebuild and go for another Championship run in the near future! This team in my opinion was one of the top Petes teams I’ve seen in the history of the franchise. Go Petes Go!

One of the things that made watching the Knights lose to Peterborough a little easier to take was that I didn't expect either team to beat the WHL or QMJHL reps. Having said that though, I think the Petes represented the OHL very admirably considering the odds stacked against them.

Nothing to regret.....everything to be proud of! Congrats Petes fans!

Helluva season Petes. All through the playoffs won games and I kept asking "what is happening?" What happened was a dedicated, well-coached group of players with a lot of heart and talent. And Simpson, in spite of occasional softies, was amazing and last night especially so.

Shout out to all of the boys but mostly I have a lot of respect for the gritty play of "original Petes" Avon, Robertson, McCoy and Mayer. All went to the next level all year. All of the additions (Beck, Othmann Hayes, White, Gauvreau) were incredible additions and helped get us to Mem Cup semis.

Next year? Wow with returning players like Beck, Smith and McCoy we will have a good team but I'm excited to see Lefebvre, McCallum, Page and McCue show what they have on regular shifts.

Add Robertson and Lockhart as potential returning players. Both players don’t have pro contracts yet

I love this team and I wish it wasn’t over -I love them !!!

So proud of every single one of them -I feel this is the most endearing Petes team ever-and I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years (in my name-before that tickets were in my Grandparents name and then in my parents name).

I sit close to the bench so I see all their little quirks and rituals -they are a very loveable bunch.

The worst is going to be all the trades -like how Hamilton was dismantled and players split up all over the league.

All our lads are worth so much more now because of their “experience”

It will break my heart wide open to see them all scatter to different teams.

I agree with you with how special this team is. Of all the Petes championship teams since 1989 I think this one is of the best I have seen. It will be hard to see many of our players traded. I do expect that they will likely keep Connor Lockhart, Sam Mayer and Cam Gauvreau for their overage seasons. I would expect that Tucker Robertson will start the season with the Petes if he returns. This season is was one of best in Petes’ history.

From an outside perspective I can’t imagine how Robertson and Lockhart would be returned to junior. There is just no way that happens to drafted contributing members of a championship club.

Pete’s Will likely get back Beck but not any of the other top 6 and the bottom 6 had such a diminished role that I can’t see huge trade value.

Lockhart wasn't signed by the deadline by the Canucks. There's a good chance he's back.

Id be surprised if Robertson was, but he doesn't need to be signed until next summer. There's at least a small chance he is.

I really hope all the players (especially) know how much they accomplished this season. Even though it ended in a loss, they beat all the teams they played for 3 weeks of pre-season, 6 months of regular season and 2 months of playoffs. Against long odds. They won their league. That's more important than a Memorial Cup (in my opinion). I'm sure the loss stings, but what this team did brought life back to the Petes games, created a new generation of fans, and made the city proud. Well done, and even ending with a loss doesn't change what this group (board, GM, down to players and staff/volunteers) accomplished. A team that will be remembered forever. If any are reading this, you should all be proud (forever) of what you achieved, and thank you for the great season you gave us fans.
