Rumor: Peter Chiarelli is not done?

I'd be ok with this one from a Blues POV

Not a fan of Eberle.....
It would take about 3 games of Eb's as your 2nd line RW before all of St. Louis is in love with him.

There a lot of bad habits that got blamed on him, that were created by the Oilers terrible defense, and the even worse defensive system.

Chia thinks Larsson is already a top pair rhd on a good contract.... Add in his comments at he PC, and I think he thinks the deal is fair.

In addition, the oilers have forward depth. Chia mentioned at the PC how Leon's ability to play rw, and play it well, allows him more flexibility on the trade front.

Of course he is going to try to spin it as a fair deal. He also said that the price of defenseman and admitted that they felt desperate.

For what its worth, Larsson did play top pair last year and did so well (including PK, defensive zone starts, and tough competition).

This GM has Traded away Kessel, Seguin and now Hall

How does he still have a job

Only on HF can this statement happen.

I will say I was hoping for more than Larsson
, But he is exactly what we needed.

As for your question, Chia did get Hamilton and Arguing for Lesser. He was forced by management to move Arguing. The oilers are bad and were not progressing with Hall and needed a top D more than offence. Larsson is signed cheap long term and will make paying Mcdavid easier.

Complain about the return, but for months posters have *****ed out oiler fans about not paying the price to get the Dman they needed regardless of the price. Well this is that deal, so years to those posters for being right,.

For the record I am Happy to be rid of Hall as he is a great player but not a good team player.

Not quite the same Stauffer rumoring he was throwing out when Larsson rumors were flying. It sounds more like speculation that Oilers could look at Barrie, that speculation based on the results on Colorado's arbitration with Barrie.

Would love Barrie on the Oilers. Would do Eberle + but not RNH +

If the + wasn't too substantial, I'd say it's a move the Oilers should make. If you have Leon and McD, isn't RNH as a 3C a bit wasted?

Take it for what it's worth, but Rishaug was asked on EDM radio this morning what he expects to happen in the next few days. He said the Oilers will sign Lucic and trade RNH for Barrie. Seems to be a lot of smoke with this RNH-Barrie thing in Edmonton media.

Would do Brett Pesce for RNH or Eberle. Very similar defenseman to Adam Larsson. Played all-situations top-4 minutes as a 21 year old Rookie straight out of the NCAA.

Makes sense for Colorado if they see Duchene as a wing going forward:

DUCHENE ($6M) MACKINNON (?) LANDESKOG ($5.5M)
GRIGORENKO (?) NUGENT-HOPKINS ($6M) IGINLA ($5.3M)
MATTHIAS (?) SODERBERG ($4.75M) RANTANEN ($0.8M)
COMEAU ($2.4M) MITCHELL ($1.8M) MCLEOD ($1.3M)

You didn't list the defense.

Also we only have two prospects that are actually high quality. One is a center. The other played C/W last year in the AHL. Sure you can shift centers to the wing, but why? Center is where they're the most valuable.

Just seems like RNH should go to a team that actually needs centers.
