Edmonton should have traded Eberle + for Larsson as that makes more sense
I'm of the belief there would have been other teams that would made better offers for Hall 100%. I would have offered Edler/ Hansen + Pick for Hallsy

This is the thing what people want on a message board doesn't always match with reality. NJ wanted Hall they weren't moving. They didn't want to add and EDM wanted Larsson.

At the end of the day does PC walk away from the trade over the ++ that's missing and not get his player?

All posts on these boards about trades show how different GMs and fans think. Fans care about value and getting one over on the other GM. The GMs care about getting he player they want. If it's not maximum value who cares as long they get there player. Larsson with nothing else added is better for PC then no Larsson at all.

This. When it came down to it, Chiarelli wanted Larsson, and if he thought he could replace Hall (somewhat) in free agency, that makes it quite a bit more palatable.

If Edmonton makes the playoffs before Jersey, then I think people's minds will change. Though on the other hand, if Hall makes it to the playoffs before the rest of the team does - that definitely won't sit well with Oiler fans.

Serious????? We are finally building a real team not just a bunch of flashy wingers. I was happy with just Larsson over Hall, now Lucic Plus Larsson and who knows what else!!!!! So pumped :yo::yo::yo::yo:
 
I hope Chia's not done. With his NHL 16 trading and FA signing strategies, this will be a great offseason!

I don't usually tweet hockey but hearing major deal between Oilers and avs is extremely close. Should be done in next 48 hrs. #barrie

We traded Hall. We arent trading away our 1st overall 2 way center in RNH. At 23 he is the most experienced center we have. Draisaitl is 20 and Mc David is 19.

Let the Avs re sign Barrie. We arent paying them premium assets to save them the pain of overpaying the guy.
