Yes, because he's exactly the type of guy any team would want in the playoffs but I'm all but positive MLSE would not allow it. Branding and all.
I wonder what the lay of the land is for Dubas Fans /Dont want Perry vs non Dubas fans /wants Perry
I feel like this is a left vs right political issue that Dubas used to cater to.
Glad those days are gone and we are brining in players based upon hockey and not political leanings.
Just win baby.
That’s fair.I think your read is incorrect. I liked Dubas. I'd like the Leafs to get Perry.
That Perry "begged" to sign with the Leafs for 750K and Leafs turned him down and signed Simmonds for two years at almost 2x the money. Perry them signed with the Habs.
Many of his adds were past their expiry date but they were not all ballerinas. I'm not sure he wouldn't have looked hard at Perry unless there was a personal bias like he doesn't like "pricks". He might be scheming to add him right now who knows?I wonder what the lay of the land is for Dubas Fans /Dont want Perry vs non Dubas fans /wants Perry

If we're worried about a 40 year old, fake tough guy 4th liner knocking us out of the playoffs, we have much bigger issues.
He would need to be surrounded with the Right mix. With the Leafs he may not be as effective at knocking anyone out of the playoffs, but with a few teams he would be a valuable asset. If we're worried about a 40 year old, fake tough guy 4th liner knocking us out of the playoffs, we have much bigger issues.
Nope. He's a piece of shit. As far as team morale goes, refer to as recent as his short Chicago stint. Also, how do you think his act will go over with officials/DOPS while wearing a Leaf jersey? He doesn’t move the needle for anyone, but is it nice to have him on your side? I think so, yes.
The guy played forever in the league and by all accounts has been a great teammate.Nope. He's a piece of shit. As far as team morale goes, refer to as recent as his short Chicago stint. Also, how do you think his act will go over with officials/DOPS while wearing a Leaf jersey?
f*** I hope not. As if that team wasn't already full of gigantic pricks. A line with him and Cousins on it might make me throw upHe’s going to end up signing with the panthers and be a pain in the ass against us in the playoffs. Then people will complain why we didn’t sign him when we could.
or he wouldn't be able to and like all that have gone before him, end up with a black eye and leave fully frustrated saying something to the effect of "Its a great bunch of guy's but...."Perry is the type of guy you detest playing against, we don't have nearly enough of those in our lineup. He'd pull our wallflowers into the fight with grease and snot.

Leafs are one of the least penalized teams in the league, I doubt that would change.
I don't know that they need him though.
Then you have to ask yourself why does it always end up like that and how do we change that?or he wouldn't be able to and like all that have gone before him, end up with a black eye and leave fully frustrated saying something to the effect of "Its a great bunch of guy's but...."
and don't forget Cristobel Huet! His departure had a bit of a fishy odour attached to it as well!Probably nothing
Chicago cheating as usual
Hossa style
I think this is the most likely scenario based on our group of softies.or he wouldn't be able to and like all that have gone before him, end up with a black eye and leave fully frustrated saying something to the effect of "Its a great bunch of guy's but...."
I think your take is overly simplistic.I wonder what the lay of the land is for Dubas Fans /Dont want Perry vs non Dubas fans /wants Perry
