Totally agree with the pollsters here, Neither Perry nor Eberle are available and both aren't going any where. Both Anaheim and Edmonton need both their forwards desperately and it would take a lot to convince both Bob Murray and Peter Chiarelli to part with Corey Perry or Jordan Eberle.

yup, nothing to see here.

the Isles would LIKE a top RW'er, but i don't think Snow is going to overpay for someone. he has proven to be thrifty, and i don't see him changing.

ANA and EDM don't seem to a good fit. Snow needs to dance with someone that needs to get rid of a top RW. i don't see many options, and the way that HoSang has started in the AHL, he is looking more like the player that would fit well with JT.

Ladd is ok. he is 2nd on the team in shots, and is working hard. it will come for him. Tavares only has 2 pts in 5 games. for those that are judging guys after 5 games, i guess Tavares will only get 32 pts this year, right? :sarcasm:

Maybe this season the Oilers keep him. In the off season when the Oilers re-sign Draisaitl and probably re-up McDavid, they will need to clear cap space and the easiest place to have "cheaper" talent is on the wings.

Getting rid of their best winger isn't the way they add cap space. Finding cheaper replacements for guys like Pouliot and Fayne is.

I find it funny Isle fans rag against the Oilers D when they've give up more ES goals against in the same number of games with wimpy ES scoring opponents like the Ducks and Yotes. Only Leddy would be of interest and I'd still say no.

Your right we will need cap space . Think ! Ference contract is done , Fayne will be gone and Pouliot will be gone . Oh my that is almost 11 million plus the 8 we currently have almost 20 million . Take off McDavid and Draisaitl current contracts of just shy of 1 million a piece and we have slightly less then 22,000,000.00 to sign them . Even if we gave Draisaitl 6 million like the other kids that leaves over 15.5 million for McDavid and I can assure you it won't cost 22 million to resign them

Hamonic would be at worst the Oilers #2 and probably be their best defenseman, same can be said for Leddy. The Isles would never consider trading either of them for Eberle. It's not a big accomplishment to be playing well next to the best player in the NHL.

We no longer need Hamonic with Larsson on the team. Leddy shoots the wrong way. And neither fill the big issue on our defense anymore.

The Oilers aren't contenders right now, so why would that matter?

You want your ELC players to hit their peak at the same time the cup window begins.

I really don't think its out of the question that Edmonton could sneak into the playoffs, don't see why they'd trade Eberle at this point unless they could get a legit top pairing PMD

Unless Puljujarvi really starts clicking and scoring at an incredible pace Eberle is staying and Hopkins is probably the next to go.

I'm pretty certain that Edmonton trades both Eberle and Hopkins before they win a cup.

I would be surprised if NYI don't make a deal for a RW as the season progresses toward the trade deadline and some team is looking to get value for a player they won't protect in the expansion draft. Now, however, is not the time.

Eberle won't be traded, it was either him or Hall and the Oilers management decided Hall would get the best return.
We will keep our overrated one dimensional forward thank you very much.

Now way Edmonton trades Eberle unless Tavares and Leddy are coming back. Did you not see the huge haul they got for Hall?

We were desperate and every GM had us over a barrell for a RHD. We aren't as desperate now. We're playing well, actually winning games, and despite our blueline looking bad on paper, it looks pretty good out there.

Our defense is still below-average.

I would do something along the lines of Eberle and Davidson for Bailey and Boychuk. It's high-time we loaded up with size on the wing to insulate our centers from board work. It's how Detroit got the most of Datsyuk and Zetterberg for so long.

wow........you are funny.......nobody has ever heard the "bag of pucks" line before?
be original or just be quiet..........

i dont think long island has any interest in eberle.
and i really doubt that garth would give up what it would take to get perry. especially with his inflated contract.

So you think Garth is happy about Josh fricken Baily on JT's wing?

Thank god ur not the GM.

That's an aweful trade for the Oilers.

For the record...if theres 1 winger Jordan Eberle can say plays like a bigger ***** them him...its Josh Bailey. JB's contract is an anchor...

Adam Larsson has been a defensive beast...guy came as advertised.

You'd think the fans at ground zero for Hall/Larsson would not continue making hysterically bad proposals overvaluing Eberle. Apparently not.

Islanders have Chimera and Bailey on the first line......Oiler fans were harped last year with "need to give to get..". Eberle would be the Islanders 2nd best player behind JT..

Eberle is currently playing at a ppg...oozes chemistry with McDavid and is our best RW.
