We have to consider also, that most teams would suffer being without their number 1 and 2 D-men, and then our number 5 in ice-time (and most dependable PK'er and crease clearer). These three guys also make up our entire starting RD group.

It really hurts.

It also hurts that our 1st line plays like a bag of nuts, winning zero battles, and that our coach wants the nr.1 PP to have neither net front presence nor anyone with size anywhere close to goal, unless Malkin goes there like when we scored. It is predictable and weak. What hurts, too, is that with these injuries, apparently Dumo and Ruh is considered our top PK duo. But with who is missing, I suppose it actually is.

Praise be upon the Geno'th and the Zuck'ed. Lest we be f***ed.
Yeah but man do I ever hate our top line right now. Sid most of all, but Jake and Rust are sucking too.

Any one of those guys should be capable of individually having great games and winning us a game, and it's not happening the past 10-15.

It seems like he always is. Wasn't he like the only guy on the team still trying under MJ?

It makes the whole "he doesn't care" thing even weirder.
It's Geno's fault Sullivan's system doesn't work.

It's also Geno's fault DeSmith plays goal like a hyper-active 7 year old hopped up on Halloween candy.

And finally, it's Geno's fault that Chad Ruhwedel is used like a top four defenseman.

I don't think Rak has the willingness to do it much either. I blame Reirden for both not utilizing him properly and encouraging him. It's a waste.
I think Zucker could do it, if he ever got a damn chance. Dude's on pace for over 50 points with no PP1 or empty net situations.

Zucker absolutely should have been tried on the top unit by now. He'd do well there IMO.

I just can't believe the amount of posters that wanted him(Geno) gone years ago. The threads are laughable.

Then there's people that are like sure we will take him for 50 games then he will get hurt.

Geno's injuries were freak injuries as they can happen to anyone. He's far from soft.

Guy is a generational talent and people wanted him gone.

Completely agree, I am not expecting much. A win here or points for that matter would be excellent.

Just frustrating to watch some of the things that are going on lately.

-Power play execution with all that talent on the ice. No excuse at to not be putting the puck in the net.
-Player usage with players that deserve more icetime (which in turn takes some pressure off L1) who is playing a lot and struggling.
A team that expects to be in play offs waiting for play offs to up their game.
An impotent coach unable to contribute anything.
Spells - no play offs.
What a shame.....Penguins have been our go-to game here on Center ice for years.
This is the first time in a long time they are not great to watch. 😖
Bruins Islanders game of the night tonight.
