I will never forget my mom hearing Kuhnhackl and asking me if thats the son of Erich Kühnhackl.
She doesnt know anything about hockey and probably has never heard of Gretzky or Lemieux, but was suprised about the fact that I thought she didn't know Erich Kühnhackl. Gave me an idea of how big of a star his dad was here in Germany.
Needless to say I am beyond bored watching this team and regret staying up, even though its a "fun" first period. This team is so vanilla it hurts
He’s a real steady proHa ! Ruhwedel. A minor league , 7th Dman on the first PK unit.

I defended him when everyone was on him, but he has been plain awful last 5-6 games
I like DOC but I wish he had a dimension to his offensive game other than bad angle shot. Never gonna produce much offense at the NHL with his creativity.

That's the thing with all young D. Inconsistent and maybe bad stretches until they mature a few years later.

You'd expect some struggles at times with his age. Question is how long this will continue and which the real POJ is, the one we're seeing now or the one who was playing great.

Isn't that what Sullivan demands of them? Don't try anything creative, just fire at the net when you have a chance and hope for tips/deflections/rebounds/bad goaltending?

POJ is bad at tracking plays, he stands out more when the other team is passing well. Doesn't help that he's weak on both the puck and pushing off attacking players. Seems like a player other teams will take advantage of in a playoff series, assuming the Pens get there. It would be great if Arizona took him back in a deal for Chychurn

DeSmith plays goalie the same way I do -- no technique, just sliding around the crease yelling "Great save" in my head after every routine stop.
Missing right side of your defense which quite frankly is the strongest area of the Pens is just a killer. Pens playing about as good as they can missing Jarry and the RD. Hopefully they are back shortly and then things can settle in with Jarry, the D to a degree and finding who is what on the bottom 6. Hextall just not sure what he is doing or not doing.
