I mean in regards to Letang, yeah the team has to be emotional.

He had a stroke not so long ago, then his father passes away, if anything, this has been a rollercoaster for Letang and his family, really feel for the bloke. He's an emotional player as well so taking the time to be there with loved ones is nice for him at a time like this.

In that sense, yeah what Sully said was perfectly fine, I thought he said some usual bs about their play, without that Letang stuff.
I actually didnt think of that until just now. The team has bounced around trying to support Letang and hes not playing as well. Makes sense they are probably a little tired and sloppy defensively tonight as a result. They arent well rested with bouncing from the West Coast to Montreal to Pittsburgh. Ill give them a pass defensively on this game.

The result was fine in Boston, but I thought he looked shaky. On normal ice in a normal game, I think Boston would have pressured him a lot more.

Regardless, your last sentence is the key. He's well below the standard, especially for his cap hit. You could save almost a million swapping in Tokarski.
CDS has recovered with strong finishes to seasons twice though. So I'm hesitant to not give him that chance.
And Tokarski is a .902 career goalie compared to DeSmith's .915. I would just be waiting for him to fall apart.
There's a chance he doesn't, but I don't like the odds.

Nope... everything free and online. I could probably make up 20 gifs in the time it would take to do that one. Like finding the right Geno pics for each transition/frame would be a logistical nightmare. I'm sure someone is able to do it with far better skills and software.
Im just bugging you. You are the best and a gem on these boards.

Tokarski was swimming a lot too, just got a little bit luckier than CDS,
with these kind of goalies he needs to rearange our forward lines and our dman to help isolate them

Dumo and Smith best game of the season

Petts is just getting worse and worse, he is an absolute liability now

I thought that line Carter DOC and Kappy held their own, they need to score at some point, but having DOC helped with forecheck and possession.

The fourth line just have no pulse, McGinn is dying there..
L1 had a push thanks to Sid's good game, Rust was bad and Jake is real defensive liability

I just don't get the sttitude even in the games where we are up couple of goals in third they just seem to give up on any systematic game, they just meaninglessly flip or ice the puck, I don't think they had a puck on their sticks more than 30 seconds in the last 7-8 minutes

PP actually looked good, they really needed a lucky bounce there, Jake is f***ing useless on that PP1

One perhaps interesting tidbit here was that L3 was improved in this game and O'Conner very noticeable. He gives a damn and works hard, plus has some pace and grit to his game.
Conversely, our 4th line was terrible and for as good as Blue and McGinn are together on the PK, they sure don't look much 5 on 5, less so with Heinen. The latter IMO should be the first forward off the team at this point. An empty sweater on most nights.

Because he was not very good at all. That would have normally been a good explanation, and true, but for the fact that Rutta and Ruh were quite terrible also with Petts not far behind. Scarily, Dumo was one of our best two D-men on the night.

We showed a lot of the warts, but winning after being down 3-0 is something, and certainly it was entertaining.
Really true…our defense was terrible tonight outside of Dumo-Smith pairing…

Whatever the circumstances, I am just glad to see Zucker And Geno put up numbers.

I almost broke my phone when I checked the score seeing 3-0 Canucks early into the game.

Yo Pens you gotta stop doing that, allowing early goals.
Funny enough, Pens have blown more leads than the Canucks. So if there was a team they'd blow a lead to that has also blown leads, it's the Pens vs the Canucks offense (but zero defense).

Sullivan’s quoted after this game are just absolutely shocking.. he’s proud of their effort? Lol
This is every game. He's been saying they beat themselves the entire time through the losing streak. Has absolutely zero accountability whatsoever. I watch his press conferences and can't believe it at times. He's everything we fear and more.
