My posts are jokes. And hockey is just a game.

For us/the Pen's specifically, it's not terrible.
Fact is this team was playing awful hockey before they shut it down.
It would need a team like MTL to get them revv'ed up if they were to have any hope of a run.
Walking right into a PHI or WSH would NOT be good.

ETA:

As for how i'd line 'em up:

Zucker-Sid-Horny
Jake-G-Rust
Marleau-McCann-Sheary
ZAR-Blueger-Tanev

I'll say this. Personally, I'd rather the league be extra safe and not re-open yet.

But if they're going to open things up anyway, this will be exciting. Anyone complaining about it now, this is going to be fun to watch and a lot more entertaining that the alternative.

There's been no hockey for months. Think about doing this for 4 more months.

Plus I think there may be some advantage to
playing competitive hockey prior to the 1st round tbh.

I largely agree with the line up but what about Bjugstad?

The purest in me says scrap the season. But I gotta say for the Pens in particular, this format could really help the cause.

I'm torn on being happy that the pens get a real test before heading into the POs and pissed off that they could miss out due to a few bad games.

I know they wouldn't go for it but the 5/12 series should be 2 wins for the 5th seed and 3 wins for the 12th seed.

So Guentzel should be back for the playoffs right?

Zucker - Crosby - Sheary/Rodrigues/Bjugstad?
Guentzel - Malkin - Rust
Marleau - McCann - Hornqvist
ZAR - Blueger - Tanev

Dumoulin - Letang
Petterson - Marino
Johnson - Schultz

"If Pittsburgh can't beat Montreal they don't deserve to be there anyway."

Teams that don't earn a playoff spot absolutely don't deserve to be there. Yet here we are.

Also this is roughly scheduled for like end of July? lol

If anyone on this team were to get it, Sid would be the guy. Dude winds up getting mumps and takes the longest of the estimated time frame to come back from every injury. He never gets hurt and comes back ahead of schedule haha

this whole discussion is wild. The NHL is a business. Of course they are more worried about making money than upholding the sanctity of who should get to smack rubber with sticks.
