Like I said I'd give up too if I was in net with this **** team in front of me.

I wouldn't score if I had such a bad goalie in net because I would have zero confidence.

This game can go both ways.

How can a team that already has scoring problems manage to score when Bernier gives up softies every game?

He gave up the first goal again on a shot he should have saved...instead he had no idea where it was and it was tapped in.

The Leafs can't score because Bernier gives up a weak or questionable goal? If that's the truth, they're the most mentally fragile group to ever play in the NHL.

10 mins away from 5 goals in 7 starts. Less than a goal per game for crying out loud, nobodys gonna win with that in net.

considering that there are only 30 starters jobs in the NHL, if that was his attitude, I hope Lou turfs him (or you) and get someone who would play well regardless of the team in front of him.

Lost in all this is that the Leafs don't have a goal tonight. Bernier hasn't been good tonight, but you can't win if you don't score, and the Leafs don't score for Bernier at all. 5 goals in his 6 starts thus far.

That's what happens when you let in the first shot every game. The other team gets that early lead and they can just sit back and focus on defending.

We need more than one line to produce. The other three lines were terrible tonight, so Babcock moved Kadri to help out the second line.

Look up how many goalies met that save% last year (and prior), it'll be the majority.

.910 seems to be the new standard for a starter.

.910 sv % is the new standard for starters. Getting that sv % would mean you were average on a below average team. My expectation for Bernier was never getting .920 sv %. I expected anywhere from .912-.915, maybe more if he gets hot. Many people seem to forget that Rinne, Price, Varlamov, and Quick often had season/s were they were below .910 sv %. Bernier hasn't had a season like that yet, even though he's only been a starter for two years.

Usually poor play is rewarded with a move down the line up,not up.You might know this if you watched anything more than Kadr and Bozak.

There's no set lines in this team. No one is an established top-6 player save for JVR and Kadri and maybe Bozak. Kadri's being used to bring energy to whatever line he's put on to get them going. It's working but there's little production to show for it.

MAF is actually pretty solid goaltender. He got his **** together last year, and is playing very well this year, again. He's definitely a top 10 goaltender in the league.
