Much too soon. He has hardly had a full practice session with the team yet, and he is not going to be effective for us unless there is at least one guy there on his line who can turn possession on the wall or in the corners into something. Be it Megna or Bennett once they return, I am not at all certain Pyatt won't come useful for us.
More than anything because his good qualities are in such short supply on this team. And moreover - we certainly have forwards on this team right now who actively hurt us more.
Not familiar with him, anyone have a scouting report on him?
If he plays, I predict Crosby shoots a puck at his head and it'll bounce in and he will be classified as the next Beau Bennett, a can't miss prospect.
Who the hell is left in WBS? I feel for their fans at times like this.
Kostopoulos, Kühnhackl and Uher all I can think of off the top of my head
TK Sr. would need to be signed to an NHL contract. Would he clear waivers? Who knows.
Don't forget the skillful-minded biscuit-scorer either.
With only 10 forwards at #Penguins practice, Sutter on Crosby's line and Pyatt on Malkin's line.
Pittsburgh Penguins @penguins
Short on forwards today, we're seeing unique lines. Sutter skating with 14 & 87, Pyatt with 36 & 71, even a turn for Despres at forward
**** off, Bylsma
So next forward injury triggers a public open tryout?
Neal must be dealing with a minor injury or something.
You have to actually exert effort in order to get hurt, usually. Pyatt should be safe.
Game time I would rather see...Despres as a forward? Well, better than sitting him again and better than another Kobasew-type scrub out there. We should seriously consider this or playing 7D in a unique situation like we have now.
