Lol I guess I missed the joke. Sorry gents, I'm not a daily poster. Just skimming the thread and saw that.
It's okay you've been retired for a few years now.

Alright, so how does this team solve the issue of Dumo being a tire fire and the team needing two defensive-minded LD in the top-4?
Petts might be the answer to a Dumo vacancy. I don't know that POJ-Petry is anything but a heat-seeking missile aimed directly at POJ's confidence, ready to obliterating all the good progress he's made and confidence built through 10 games.
I've heard Rutta can play LD, but I don't know how comfortable or effective he is there. Still leaves the issue of having Smith waiting in the wings for a spot on the 3rd pairing, but with Dumo, Petts, POJ there's really no spot.
I hate to even bring it up because everybody's suddenly a Marino superfan, but a POJ-Marino middle pairing and Smith-Rutta as the bottom pairing seems kinda nice right now. Petry's been a tire fire himself, despite Petts' pretty even-keeled play.
Sid will never be part of a tank job. He's a reserved guy but if that happened? He'd probably go ape s***.Sullivan taking a lot of hate but a lot of blame has to go to Hextall. A lot of players struggling are his additions or resigns. Petry, Kap, Carter have all stunk it up.
Serious question, when do we consider tanking? I’m hearing this draft is the best since 2015. Those top 3 guys are game changers and could help Sid/Geno right away.
Ya but that's bc JMFJ is a stanley cup winner.Marino is having success because they got him a big tough guy who is a stay at home D in Graves.
Marino's best season came when he was lined up with JMFJ.

People calling out random players should stop. When a team is garbage it's amazing what a new voice does.it's because Marino is awful in front of the net.
Weirdly enough we've been awful in front of the net the last few games it's almost like maybe it's our coach!
It is so much to ask to have a 1st pairing guy that's like a semi pro bare knuckle boxer?I feel like the Penguins have been f***awful around the net since the days of Scuderi-Gill. Even when they had Orpik, Engelland and Bortuzzo back there, other teams have always just had free reign in the slot and around the net.
If only the instigator didn't exist.People calling out random players should stop. When a team is garbage it's amazing what a new voice does.
I think people would be shocked at the kind of turn around guys like Kap and Petry could have.

Someone that would lay out a couple guys and then the net crashing just stops.
During a scrum when a goalie gets shoved? They could get away with it. Don't dampen this search. If only the instigator didn't exist.
Man officiating is so off the wall bad and inconsistent, I genuinely have no idea anymore. You can see Trouba tee off and fire about 9 shots right to Jake's mouth and go without a call, but Letang can shove a guy away from his goalie and get 5 and a game.During a scrum when a goalie gets shoved? They could get away with it. Don't dampen this search.
Is that good? I honestly don’t know how to read these.
Thanks dude, I look at those thangs and I think I’m color grading an art house film.He has a 25% CF% this year. So no, not good.
His xGF% according to McCurdy's model is 14.8% at 5v5.
Remember when @Empoleon8771 wanted us to get Risto.
To be fair, Petry is what Philly actually thinks Ristolainen is. Or at least he should be.
He's being used pretty close to how he has over the course of his career. A tick fewer offensive zone starts but that was expected with Letang here.I don't really have any problem with Petry and it seems like a bunch of weirdness that people are butchering him to me.
I look at Petry and see Sullivan misusing him completely.
How about a different glass?I will take a high draft pick if it turns into Heiskanen or Makar but not if it turns into Yakupov or cody glass or alex nylander or whatever lol
Yeah pretty much this. Not everything will be solved but we will have a better understanding what needs to be fixed to improve the roster when a new voice/change is here. What's happening now is not working and they regressing. New players here wont fix a thing when the same players are doing the same things, we need something different or you will get the same ol same ol. You need new coach AND new players like when we got Sullivan and had some key trades happen. Right now everyone is on auto pilot and zoned out. This is kind of my thought process as well. Otherwise, how do we even know what areas actually need addressing and how many of the current issues are due to the coach/usage by said coach?
We've overhauled our roster a few times now. Same result. Maybe it's time to address the constant first before we start moving key pieces out and hoping the new pieces are the answer.
