Plagiarizing hollywood doesn’t give you points when your solution is nothing more than a massive problem at center. You referred to it as absurd. Quite a few are on the same page while you’re still in that hole digging.
So, yes. You really are that obtuse and cannot comprehend what is being said.

I forogt what game it was, but the flubbed shot from the left wall is the one that stands out besides the 1st period of game 1.

into the Quinn bin.

that was the second Pitt game I referred to yes. He blew that game. Got beat five hole for the game winner late on a bad one

kakko played one period on panarins line and not even half the game Saturday night with panarin. He got a few shifts at best. That does not constitute kakko playing top 6 all season.

lafreniere has been playing top 6 I didn’t dispute that. Kakko certainly hasn’t
Did I f***ing say that?

If anyone can show me a lineup with Buchnevich included that doesn’t include a winger making 6 plus mil on the third line and kakko/lafreniere getting top 6 mins by all means I’d love to see it and we can put this to bed and sign buchy!
I was on this train... but since he's been PKing and playing a much better all around game, they may sign him.

It doesn't mean he wont be traded eventually. It's just he will be here until another RW shows they are ready. Even then, our top9 is weak at RW without Buch. You figure Kakko and eventually Kravtsov, but they have to get to that point first.

p.s.- I thought 2-3 years ago, he was on his way to the KHL. His turn around/progression was massive. What worries me is this is his 'career year' on a contract year. 3-4 year deal may be sufficient so the picture may become a little clearer.

Quinn obviously isn't pushing the vets, that's for sure.

And I did not expect Lafreniere to just step in and dominate, that's very rare in the NHL for top prospects. But what I am concerned is that where's the lack of creativity and aggressiveness that was shown in his first game. Where did it go?

Let the kid find his legs. This isn't the Q. He's played less than 10 NHL games with a funky training camp and no preseason.

Zbad can't do anything right this season so far. Bad puck luck and still rounding out into game form I would imagine. Used to be that if the puck was passed within 6 feet of him he'd manage to get control of it in time to make a play, now it's off his skate and back the other way in a flash. Also you couldn't knock him off the puck along the boards either, this year he's coughing it up before the D even presses him.

and he's officially in his own head now.

He passed up a lot of one-time opportunities before he took one. Zero confidence and the 'rona layover is not good. He is also hesitating on 'puck battles'. That hesitation is making him look slow.

He was hurt in the 3rd game, i dont think thats something he has totally gotten over.

Thank goodness for our PK being capable last night. Until the 3rd period (especially in the 2nd) the game would have been lost if the Pens convert on at least one. Some of the calls were pretty soft though but then it’s 180 degrees reversal in the 3rd as the refs suddenly swallowed whistles altogether.
The rangers were playing so bad through the first 2 periods that Sid tried the lacrosse goal and Malkin attempted a dipsey doodle. Thank goodness for their 3rd period play.

we wouldn't be able to discern the difference. he has not looked like Zibs since fans were allowed in arenas

Look, nobody looked good in the bubble....forget about the bubble. Zib had covid before the season and got an injury in game 3, if you think that isnt affecting anything i dont know what to tell you.

Decimate the center position to fit your monkey math. Awesome.
Again, your grasp of the obvious is fantastic.

No, I am not suggesting that they should do that. Yes, I am suggesting that such a move is a possibility IF management determines that 1) they want and need to keep him 2) they can be weaker at centers if the drivers of play are on the wings.

And yet again, not a demand or "they should". This is an if/then statement. If you want to keep Buchnevich, then......

On the other hand, in the 3 previous games against the Pens they dominated the first two periods in 1 and all 3 in two.

the obvious thing your doing is digging yourself into a bigger hole. Yeah, if the Rangers resign nobody they save money. Wow, brilliant on the heels they should resign everybody.

Anything is possible isn’t the topic. It’s managing the cap to WIN which includes the budget of today and tomorrow.

Where did I say they should resign everybody? Where did I say they should resign nobody? In fact, where did I say what they should and should not do?

apparently this is never going to happen lol.

....

you cannot pay Buchnevich. At most you can maybe extend him two years but then you are blocking top 6 mins and probably more pp time from one of kakko or lafreniere. Which one are you comfortable blocking for two more development years?

again there is a reason good teams shouldn’t get top prospects. It’s because they already have good players. So one of them has to go.

A couple of things - signing Buch long-term at his age will not prevent the Rangers from moving him WHEN NECESSARY. This is my point. Until then there are a ton of unanticipated things that could happened that would make moving Buch - sorry for the pun - a bad move in hindsight.

As far as the minutes for top prospects go - I disagree there as well. As of right now there are spots for both Lafreniere and Kakko in the top-6 if they were to take the necessary next steps. To this end Laf already spent time on both Zibanejad and Panarin lines and so did Kakko with Panarin. They will get more and when Chytil is back the split of time between the top-3 lines would even out. Depth is a good thing. I absolutely don't believe that anyone would try to hold a prospect back if he shows he's ready - just look at Miller. Look at Fox. Look at Buchnevich. Look Chytil, etc, etc.

I think they will resign Buch, but i don't think they should include a nmc. Let him get paid but leave it open to be able to move him if you have to. I think the nmc are given out way too easily from this organization, a team that players want to play for, we arent some bottom feeding team that we have to include that.
