The Pens could have been resting and clinched had they not blown those games against the Islanders but nope instead they put themselves into a situation where they also got to get embarrassed by one of the worst teams in the league with control of their playoff destiny on the line.

Can't blame Mario? Why? JR was years into psychotic flailing as a GM and Sullivan showed concerning tendencies against the Isles in 2019, and showed his whole ass in 2020. Mario sat by and did nothing, because he was an overrated owner.

For clarity, since I'm re-reading and realizing how I might've been misinterpreted, I mean "doing right by Sid" would've been nuking *this team's* FO and coaching staff in 2020 to give the Pens some semblance of a last shot or two. Now it's too little, too late, and the damage has been done.

At best, this team's fighting for a WC spot and getting booted in the 1st annually. Especially when they lock up Jarry this summer.

- allowing a goal right after another goal
- an ill advised pinch by a D-man who will do very little even if he wins the puck because he is offensively inept, so he should take as few such chances as possible
- a goalie swimming in net and getting scored on from behind the net
- everyone puck watching around the net. It didn't matter this time but on watching the replay is funny how none of the four Pens is covering the lone Hawk in a good scoring position

It's truly incredible how mentally weak this team weak. Not only does it give up decisive goals like candy in the third period but it rarely fights back after that, even against teams who are practically begging to be scored on. It plays well when all seems lost, then when things look good, it's back to sucking. Did anyone and I mean anyone think that this PP at 3-1 was going to result in a goal and a comeback? Or even just a goal? I suspect not.

Joke is on me for thinking they might rally and make the playoffs because the opposition is a joke too. I guess we are the biggest joke after all. There should be a new expression - to pull a Penguins. Our only hope for the playoffs is the Isles pulling a Penguins tomorrow. Oh, wait, we would lose to Columbus then, never mind.
