It blows my mind that anybody doesn't think that both Hextall and Sullivan suck ass.

This isn't complicated. They all suck. Nuke the front office, and nuke the three coaches behind the bench. Clean slate. You're FSG. Put your stamp on it

Not directing this at you specifically, just sayin'. That's my feeling on it
I thought FSG make winning teams? they really should step in and do something.

Watched the clip of the Sully press conference. Same old shit that, as has been pointed out previously, he's spouted countless times after losing to vastly inferior teams. It was pretty much slo-pitch softball questions. At least Madden (and believe me, I'm no fan), had the balls to ask something of a tough question.

It blows my mind how this place absolutely *has* to make it one or the other, when in reality, this team's been taken into a swan dive over the past half decade by both the front office, past and present, as well as Sullivan.
JR lit the match, Sullivan poured gasoline on it, and then Ron Hextall came in and tried to piss on it to put the fire out.

Truth is no one knows for any certainty what they're going to do. For all we know, they're actively searching for a new GM and coaching staff now. Or they really don't give a shit. This summer could get interesting...or frustratingly boring. It remains to be seen.

I’m not surprised. And it’s not completely on the Pens for my lack of surprise. Teams that are utterly eliminated always seem to have voodoo magic going for them the last 3-4 games of a season I’ve been watching the game long enough that in a vacuum. Placing this game into a singular context I’m not surprised… NOW… For what was on the line. There exists entirely to much skill and knowledge with the season all but a millimeter away from being ended and a decade and half of playoff appearances on the line that this was all the effort they could muster. It’s sad and pathetic. I love this team but I say again exactly what I said in the GDT. This is how it ends, not with a bang, but a whimper.

I never said both weren't to blame. I said I can't believe people haven't turned on Sullivan, not that people are unfairly turning on Hextall.
Still relatively new to the board, but in the past I've defended Sullivan (passively). No more. I've come to realize he's a huge part of the problem, and goodwill from the cup years has long since been burned up. I formally apologize to everyone on the board for my past transgression!

There's no point in just replacing one or the other. They literally need to hire an entirely fresh group. So sorry FSG that you have to eat a contract before it even begins in Sullivan.

But we'll get a new GM. With Sullivan. And we'll get to watch the same on ice product and slowly watch the parrots blame the new GM for our on ice issues. Lol.

It's f****** bizarro world and I'm getting too old for this.

Yup, I was fine with Jarry last season and think the Pens easily beat the Rangers if he was healthy. But damn was he bad this season, time to move on. For both the team and players sake.

I wonder how a Boston/Florida series will look like?
Well, they might end up playing the Metro winner. But it should be an exciting playoff regardless. I Look to bet and make a lot of money on these first round series. At least a team that deserves to be in the playoffs will make it. So we can all take comfort in that.
